I don't see any artistic ability displayed lol. Viridi and Wario ones are great though.
Now that one's perfectly in keeping with the classic Miiverse "blood and feces on an asylum wall" aesthetic.
I'll never be prepared. I wouldn't be surprised if GAF went down.

*Sheik. Five more weeks until takeoff. Looking back, I can't believe we sometimes suffered 4-6 weeks between character reveals.Somebody made a recap of the POTD up til now.
If I were a caring person/drinker of salty tears, I'd do one more Smash Direct let's say... this Tuesday. And then follow that up with three weeks of regular PotD's and then maybe one more reveal trailer on Smash 3DS JP week.
But how could Ridley be a stage boss when he's a playable character? Heh heh heh...

If that happens, I fear the rest of my dream may come true.
After only playing my 3DSLL for about three weeks, I turned on my small DS. Man it takes some getting used to. I didn't realize how big of an improvement the LL really is in terms of screen quality. I was planning on getting Smash for both my Japanese 3DS LL and my small 3DS, but I might just buy the JPN version so I can take advantage of the LL.

I wonder how possible it is for Ridley to be a Pyrosphere boss and be playable and just pull an Alfonzo. It'd be weird for a full time character to be a stage boss. Then again it's also going to be weird to see Toon Link in the background of the Spirit Train stage sometimes. I wonder if Villager will show up in Town & City in the same fashion?

Sakurai probably saw the same video just a today or yesterday with the Pikachu costumes and became just as excited as we are.

With RIdley's size half the roster was technically villains so we had to remove some to make room. But don't worry! He'll take over for Ridley when he's being used on the Pyrosphere! Apparently this prototype was on eBay a few years back and went for an insane amount of cash. Even after all these years, the Rare buyout still hurts.
We almost got this Star Fox one too.

The problem of more recent characters to include in Smash is one that always seems to come up, with only 13 characters in the 50+ overall series roster created later than 2000, and most of those come from pre-2000 series like Fire Emblem and Pokemon. So, pretend Nintendo from the 20th Century doesn't exist, and see what you could imagine Smash Bros looking like now.

- You can have up to 6 third-party characters, but as per Smash Bros tradition, only 1 character per third-party franchise.
- Clones are fine.

Wouldn't surprise me. Sakurai is obviously listening to some of our requests. Most of the assist trophies wouldn't even be there otherwise.

When disney's fighting game fails, and realizes people liked specific things about video games and you just can't pump them out. Capcom is in a better position. And those two decide to work together again

Marvel 4 with Star Lord would be something amazing

At least I still have Smash.
