In a tragic twist of fate, only the suited Samus got cut, while the top-tier demo character was Zero Suit Samus.

Similarly, Sakurai decided to only put in platform-less final destination versions of all levels, but no battlefield version of all levels.

$5 says this week is going to have a ton of near-teases for new characters or veterans that don't confirm or deconfirm anything. They're totally holding out on us at this point, probably so they can dump em all in our faces soon.
 
That Miiverse comment literally reads like Sakurai isn't aware he hasn't revealed Meta Knight yet.

Also expecting a 'Smash' Direct soon, though maybe a week at least after Hyrule Warriors to avoid stealing the limelight.

Oh God, Other M scale is a mess. Actually, Metroid scale in general is a mess.

Anthony dwarfs Adam, who dwarfs Samus even with heels, who dwarfs Melissa and Madeline even though they're also wearing heels. And then there's how Samus sometimes loses height when putting on the Power Suit and sometimes doesn't. So either Madeline and Melissa suffer from dwarfism, or Anthony is 8 feet tall.

This isn't surprising coming from the same series where Ridley changed sizes between battles in one game (Corruption).

At least Other M makes it easier in general to determine scale - in its lore it states all female humans are spatial anomalies which shrink by 65% when observed.
 
well technically every character that hasn't been explicitly confirmed or deconfirmed can be Schrodinger's (insert character here)

in other words, Schrodinger's Ridley has been hanging around for a year or so
