Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 12: Gwah, hah. Welcome to the Bowser's game.

Had Ganon not been in Melee and was a proper character release for Brawl, I'm positive he would have had a volley projectile neutral special. It's the absolute perfect special move for him, it basically needs to be in his moves.

I'm kind of surprised Project M didn't try and incorporate it.

I'm not, his PM version is just way too much fun and I don't see what giving him a projectile would accomplish other than making him better than he already is.

This week Ganondorf may be revealed.

Are you #TeamGammon or #TeamSalmon?

That's not too surprising. Every counter works against the hammers.

Also huzzah part 2.

IIRC, Marth, Ike and Lucario could counter and hit someone with a hammer in Brawl

Everyone with a counter can counter hammers, doing it with Marth is such a troll move.

Lol wow...apparently I'm the only one who didn't know that. Then again, I don't really use counter characters so, news to me!

Also btw to those jumping into the thread that vid I posted is Part 2 of NintendoWorldReport's random little tourney they did from E3.

I'm not sure how I feel about the sound of Zelda's magic right here.

Edit: I can't think of any off the top of my head. Do any other characters other than Lil Mac have no items that relate to them in game?

Game & Watch, Rob, Ice climbers, Yoshi, Wario, Samus, Captain Falcon.

Unless Assist Trophy characters count as items?

I'm counting anything that you can toggle in the item menu as an item.

Samus has the screw attack, ice climbers have the freezie thing.

G&W, Rob and Falcon though I forgot about.

Hmm....G&W, Wii Fit Trainer, Megaman, ROB (I think), and Captain Falcon off the top of my head?

Am I answering your question right?

Chances of them being in:

100% - Meta Knight, Wario, Mr. Game and Watch, Ness, Falco, Ice Climbers

99% - R.O.B, Jigglypuff, Wolf, Lucas

2% - Snake :(

1% - Ivysaur, Squirtle

I just made a bet with my roommate that Ganondorf will be unveiled this week (due to the release of Hyrule Warriors).

Am I gonna lose that bet?
I'd say Ganondorf's chances are 50/50 this week.

On the one hand, Ganondorf would tie in nicely with the Japanese release of Hyrule Warriors.

On the other hand, Ganondorf has historically been an unlockable character seen post-launch.

I could see it going either way. Hope you didn't bet much!

Ivysaur is the only quadraped in smash, she's one of the most unique character designs and has a lot more unique methods of interacting with the environment and characters than Charizard or Greninja does - saying that the only reason she stands out is because of the pokemon trainer gimmick is ridiculous.

Pikachu is also quadraped. Ivysaur's moveset is original, but does not involve any interesting mechanics so that keeping her in becomes a necessity, even more with 4 confirmed Pokémon and likely one more left. And unlike Charizard, neither Ivysaur nor Squirtle are popular or relevant enough to be granted their own slot. It's not like Pokémon is short in characters.

The more, the merrier, but I have no hopes for these two. Similarly I could see Lucina dropped in the next installment for a new Fire Emblem character.

If you want to win you should post on miiverse that Sakurai has 4 days to reveal Ganondorf. Other miiverse people seem to do it all the time.
