Troubled Bat should include a common rule in tournaments - any stage is legal if both participants agree to it. I'd like to try some of the others as well, although Battlefield and FD are good.

Well, technically, my tournament won't be in the early days. Well, banning certain stages can be obvious though. Haha. But as I already said, thinks aren't set yet. Stuff can change in the future. ^^

It sounds like you need to hold it for sufficiently long, and it wouldn't surprise me if you're entirely vulnerable while that's happening. Makes an interesting risk-reward mechanic if they balance it right.

Not to step on Troubled Bat's or anyone's toes, but it seems based on the last couple of pages that quite a few people would like this, especially early on.

If someone's already doing this, then my mistake and never mind. But if not, I wouldn't mind being the one. Scheduled around already-existing launch tournaments, of course!

Cool. When it comes to fighting games I tend to lean more towards local/couch play but I guess I could give it a go :3 Not sure who I'm playing yet but I'm leaning towards Palutena/Lucina/Robin. Seeing as your tournie is supposed to be a while after release (I don't remember seeing a date?) I'll probably know closer to the time after dabbling with various characters and stuff

Pic of the day. If you manage to raise this Special Flag for long enough, an additional KO count will be added to your score in a time match, or you'll get an extra stock for a stock match. When this appears on the stage, the fight for the flag becomes a fierce battle of tactics, which makes things pretty interesting.

Hahahaha, we did discussed about new item giving out one stock to the user awhile ago but I didn't expected that it would happens. I'm excited about this news, but I have a feeling that it will make the battles over item more hectics because we don't want people to get free stock easily.

Funny how we joked about a 1-up item and here we are, an item that gives you an extra stock. Though obviously it's not quite as easy as just picking it up. Funny how off the mark we were in predicting what this item did. Nice that the mystery surrounding this item's nature is over.

Now, we should have Mario Party item, Chance to cause a lot of havoc. Mwhahahahah.

I think an interesting varient would be if you could also fling the flag like a projectile, so you could charge/activate for the additional stock but when people approach try and use it like an offensive projectile item as well

I think it depends on how hard it is to hold onto the item. Like with Dragoon parts, it was pretty easy to get it knocked out of your possession. Everyone is going to be targeting it like a Smash Ball though, so I think it will be hard to actually get a free stock. It really depends on how it is programmed.
