It was a good for show for MS, 90 minutes long, lotsa footage, exclusive announcements. They're taking Gamescom seriously now, up until last year they weren't even doing press conferences. Last year was only 30 min with rehashed footage from E3 and it wasn't live streamed.
Its actually shipping with the game. So it is part of the game. They have already confirmed it will happen, so there really isn't anything to show...because you know spoilers.

How do people still not know that the "show" with Quantum Break is built into the game...it is part of it...not separate..

Just saw the price. 100 dollars for 500 GB MS? I guess that confirms Sunset Overdrive bundle is 500 GB. Guess I will wait until the holiday where it may get discounted.

Eh, wasnt a bad conference. The amount of indies first to xbox one were pretty wild. QB looked pretty neat. RIOTR being exclusive the biggest megaton of the MS conference. Crazy.
The halo master chief collection and sunset overdrive is what is keeping my interest so far and Ori looks great too but enough to buy the console ? ehhh not sure really.
I am still on the fence when it comes to the xbone this conference has not changed my mind in any significant way, except me being angrier at square enix.

With the exception of the TR-out-of-nowhere megaton, this was about expected a show from MS.
Even when MS didn't have conferences, Gamescom was primarily the space where they expanded details on games they announced at E3. They occasionally announce new games, but announcements are smaller or non-existent compared to E3.
Just because they have a conference this time doesn't change that, especially when we saw them announce 3 2015+ games at E3.

Sell Overdrive with the white bundle.
Well, I thought their e3 was great. One of their best in years. But they didn't really show anything this gamescom. Qb looked great but that was about it.

Im the exact market MS are trying to impress, Big gamer with money to spend, MS have had 4 confs since Xbox One was a thing, not once have they made me think 'yeah i want a one now'. I came away from that even more repelled from the console.

some of you have some unreasonable expectations for this, E3 was just 2 months ago most of the big publisher announced their games relasing within 2 years. they dropped one megaton, that is all more than i expected
