Digimon Adventure new series, featuring Taichi premièring in 2015

I agree. Only problems were Takuya and Kouji carrying the team at the end and Izumi's suffering of "Digimon Girl Syndrome". The mythology was cool, digivolving looked awesome, and KaiserGreymon is one of my faves.As with all Digimon threads, let me just say that Frontier doesn't deserve half the shit it gets and was actually pretty cool.
Agunimon was a boss.
Yeah, but it's only shown in a few episodes and has no real conclusion, which is disappointing as it was all Hikari had for an arc. She does practically nothing outside of those episodes. I think she likes photography or something.
I wanted to make a list of somethings I potentially want to see regarding the new show. I would like to get your opinions:
- The chosen children: I have no problem in having this show being a solo Taichi show, with cameos of the other main members. Back in 1998, a manga called DIGIMON ADVENTURE V-TAMER 01 was released in Japan. It featured an alternate dimension Taichi (pretty much same personality/look in 01/02), with a more pokemon feel to it. It was quite enjoyable, and was enough to carry the story primarily by himself. I would also like to see Hikari and Koushirou playing a key supporting role to Taichi. The rest are meh.
- The evolutions: I am assuming they will put a limit on Agumon being able to warp evolve to Wargreymon, that is if Taichi is able to get past the whole crest issue. I would like to see a new line of evolution of Agumon in addition to his Greymon line. Again, taking cues from V-tamer 01, they can have him evolve into Veedramon. He is an extremely powerful mon that has never been featured a lot in Digimon anime. His mega/ultimate form is a Royal knight, which ties into my next point.

- The story arcs: Royal Knights arc: have been featured before in other anime and movies, but not the entire 13 mons at the same time. They are one of the cooler aspects of Digimon that should get explored further.
Milleniumon/Ryo Akiyama arc: Ryo has one of the most interesting stories in Digimon that many don't know about cause not a lot people have played the wonderswan game. He is essentially a dimensional travelling hero that has saved the Digimon world many times. His story starts in Adventure and ends in Tamers. Having Ryo appear will also mean that Ichijouji Ken will make an appearance (they have a history together), and an opportunity for a crest holder to obtain the higher evolutions forms of his digimon(Wormmon). Milleniumon is a cool villian as well.
Digimon Sovereigns arc: They are a key aspect of the Digimon adventure series, and the reason why the chosen children were chosen in the first place. We need to know more about them.
- Finally, I would like them to honor Frontier in some way. Maybe feature AncientGreymon or something.

Half of the beast spirit evolutions are some of the best in the franchise. The other ones are meh though.

Haven't watched the sub but I hated how they reused names for Digimon that look nothing like their counterparts in the dub. How does that even vaguely look related to Greymon? Metalkabuterimon was probably the one that bothered me the most though.

I think his name was burning greymon in the dub.
Those were all cool. Its interesting Gatomon's final isn't the same as the movie.

Man, it felt bad that everyone else was left out in season 1 in regards to this. Heck, it got to the point where everyone's all "Only Greymon and Garurumon can do this, not you ___mon! You're too weak! It's impossible for you to get that strong."

Yeah, and Gomamon's final isn't Plesiomon, which is what was shown in earlier games. I prefer the choices made here for both.

It looked more like Gomamon than the others did.I just liked Gato's in the movie because it was cute but this one makes more sense.
She sucks. All of them suck with the exception of Takuya's and Koji's.

I feel like Vikemon is a natural evolution of Zudomon, being a water mammal viking dude. But ignoring that, Plesiomon looks a lot more like Gomamon with the stripes and stuff.I actually really like Plesiomon.
I just liked Gato's in the movie because it was cute but this one makes more sense.
It's good they didn't give him MarineAngemon, as amusing as that would have been.
Holydramon is one of my favorite digimon, but Frontier made me realize that Ofanimon is a better choice.

Oh ok. Well, I think they chose that name because Vitramon is supposed to be based on the ancestor of Greymon species. Its funny because in the japanese version, all of Takuya's spirit evolution names (Agunimon, Vitramon and Aldamon) are based off Vedic mythology. Its puzzling why the dub kept all except for Vitramon.

So like do we know what level the digimon in Frontier were? I'm guessing Agunimon and etc were champions but what about the beast spirits and everything else?

The only acceptable evolutionary line for Agumon is Agumon -> Greymon -> Metalgreymon -> Wargreymon.

Never knew Agumon can digivovle into ex-veemon or trynomon. Also, Skullgreymon doesnt evolve into blackwargreymon? :x

This is what evolves into blackwargreymon:
In the V-tamer manga, Agumon was a generic child/rookie digimon that can evolve into not only Greymon, but Centalmon and Meramon as well.
They represent virus attribute instead of vaccince.
But then Taichi and Agumon would be OP right from the start of the show.

From my limited digimon game experience, I think Skullgreymon digivolves into Machinedramon/Mugendramon:

They'll just have to pull some DragonBallZ shit and make more powerful Digimon.
Honestly though, take out the Veemon line and I wouldn't mind, I think Agumon having that takes away from Veemon being Davis's partner.

They weren't the greatest but getting rid of them would suck. I want the ending of 02 retconned but not the entire season.
I love him too. He is the Dramon killer after all.
That was awesome, he has such an amazing voice and it goes so well with a slow rhythm + piano, and now I feel all nostalgic and I'll be listening to old anime openings haha,I like how Digimon always had good ones here in South America they are prety much the same but in spanish.

I tried but couldn't understand what they exactly want. I recognize some of the romanji phrases(they are lines from the show), like the Leomon one. Google translate isn't helping much either.
