Also, that battle damage stuff is in most of the screenshots. I can't tell if it's just really easy to get, or if it's just hard to see in the rest, and it's not battle damage at all.

It got revealed at 4AM, so it's not exactly same time as usual. After Day Saving, almost most of time the image were uploaded between 2AM to 3AM.

Well, there are few fake leaks that said that Metaknight got cut but they already got disproven long time ago.
The hinge colour seems to usually be the colour of the inside so I'd say black.
Only 5/6 stages before Master Hand in classic mode? Unless the length changes with difficulty?

In recent months, yes, it has come earlier. However for like 6 months after E3 last year, it was always posted around 5pm JST

Wouldn't mind a shorter classic mode. Would make it more to play over and over again which I suspect to unlock some things you'll need to do.

Maybe Sakurai decided to reduce the amounts of battles due to several reasons, mainly we might have 50 characters so he might figure that it might be a chore for some people to beat Classic Mode with 50 characters to earn the trophies.
50 x 6 = 300 battles.

Or picked a different color than red! White or Black would have looked fantastic.

I feel the same way. Honestly, I didn't know anything about Shulk until I started seeing people pulling for him early on. Then I played Xenoblade Chronicles and became a fan. Really hope we're not wrong on this one.
Classic mode usually has a path of circles showing how far you are in it, that path is underneath the "stage 5 clear!"
You should still have the license for it, even if the game itself gets erased. It consolidates the eShop accounts rather than replacing them outright.
You'll lose that copy of smash as far as I'm aware, it overwrites everything on the new 3DS with stuff from the old one and then resets the old one to factory settings.
E: Oh, didn't know it consolidated the eshop accounts.

It's usually pre-installed on the SD card. The only one (that I can recall) that was bundled with a game that wasn't pre-installed was the ALBW one.

Oh, yeah, there are a lot of characters. So maybe it would be good for Classic Mode to be short if they expect people to play through it with every character.
Its not all that surprising that meta-knight is back but its still cool: i like his new up-b (was terrible with the old one)
Im still holding out the smallest sliver of hope for a Dr Mario reveal, or Starman.
Also, the lack of "geno 4 smash" all over the internet in the months leading up to this game is sort of a letdown.

See this is why ignoring people on forums is a stupid function that I never use, I've already answered this guys question twice now.
Also if you're so desperate to get the answer that you ask 3 times in the space of 2 pages, I think it's time to just use google
It's a mode designed to be playable on multiple systems, it wouldn't work on the WiiU.
Unless it was online, but I'd rather they expand their online vs. features than add smash run to the WiiU version.
