Just tell him what I told my friend when I was watching it with him: first half of season 1 is more kid-oriented than the rest of the show, and it really doesn't get amazeballs good till season 2 imho.

I didn't start to watch ATLA until Season 3 was already airing, about half-way into it, so I can't remember what the expectations for it were.

How were some of the fandom disappointed by it, I'm curious? Or, what were some of our expectations?

.....I mean season 2 had the whole Dai Li thing which was awesome, but season 3 had Sparky Sparky Boom Man and badass Uncle. But very heartfelt reunion and the whole hour and a half season finale, not to mention badass fire nation dancing kid.


Speaking of ATLA my friend and I got a bit too much enjoyment at the 'hey guy I'm Toph and I'm blind' jokes she made, because of Anchorman 2.
