PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | August 2014

At this point i'm really curious to see if the TGS will be a PS4 only conference or Vita being the second best selling console in Japan still means something...

Eh, worst case (and likely) scenario is Sony conference being PS4 only, and Vita stuff being shown only by 3rd party devs.

Hi folks. I've got a question. Back in April, Amazon was selling PSN versions of Fatal Frame 1 & 2 super cheap, so I bought 'em even though I didn't have a PS3 at the time but knew I'd have access to one in the future. Cut to today, where I finally have one, and I tried entering in the codes for the games but it says the code is incorrect or no longer valid. Did I miss my chance to redeem the codes? How long do they usually last? Is there anything I can do to get the games, since I never redeemed the original codes? It wouldn't be a huge loss to buy them again since they're still cheap, but I'd rather not pay for 'em twice if I can help it. Thanks!

how come we don't have any videos or even impressions from the games on the gamescom floor?

I remember a lot of shaky cam videos on youtube last year and this year nothing. don't we have anyone representing VitaGAF in germany?

Decided to give Road not Taken a go today. 5 hours later I've finally had to stop.

What a charming, if a little dark, game. Challenging but never feels like I'm being cheated

Big shame the Vita release has been delayed because this is perfect for that system. Until it comes I will just enjoy it on the PS4

Persona 4 Golden! :D

Nice! Seeing SAO that high puts a smile on my face too. Here's hoping that these guys really come through with what they said and make a sequel to the game in the future!

I'm amazed that we got/ are getting 7 of those 10 somehow. There's no way we're getting Super Robot Wars. But God Eater 2 pls. Bamco pls.

Higher than what I expected.
9 and 10 are huge franchises. SS was hyped like crazy before release, came out during a software drought, and was the first competent hunting game on the Vita (I'm looking at you RO).

SAO was certainly a surprise though.

If they base it off of ALO I'm not buying it |`Д´|

I don't know the answer to this, but I'm quoting it anyway, cos it sounds super annoying.

I've decided to use my PSN wallet money to buy PBBG Kurisu DLC instead of buying SSD. Tough choice, but I'll play PBBG much more than SSD right now.

Wanted to post some screens from Battle of Z, which is on sale right now. It's really impressing me with its technical capabilities and content.

I have some dumb questions:

1) If I buy a "virtual console" game on PS3 (i.e. PS1, PS2 games), can I play them on PS4 as well?
2) Is there any way to play MGS 1-3 on PS4?

You all know that our only chance to ignite some awareness about this AMAZING handheld into people's minds and not let it become the all new Dreamcast Portable.

Let's try to send that hashtag to Shahid and Yoshida as many times as we can. if we started #PS4noDRM campaign and things like Banderas.gif we can do this too.

I sold my Vita at the beggining of this year, just to buy another one TODAY even with all the negativity around it. We CAN'T let this beauty to die ALONE.

WHO'S WITH ME FELLOW VITABROS?

Sony isn't doing it... :(

I am! :D

How regarded is BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND for Vita? I have never played a BB game before, so I don't know if it's a good representation of the series. Couldn't pass it up for $3.75, but is Chrono Phantasma much different?

what's the point of this if sony has no upcoming games for it

But...there are plenty of non first party games coming out for it! Why is everyone acting like the release schedule dried up. I spent over $150 on Vita games this month alone.

I don't expect them to do a presentation on it, but they can at least provide a nice, vita exclusive montage (or two) with upcoming games.

(Oh and fix PSN so the Vita feed updates are visible on PS4, and vice versa.)

It's a shame we'll never see another Sony handheld.

I can only dream of a PSP2 with full PS4 button-parity, 32GB built in memory with optional non proprietary cards.. enough ram to support IOS like game resumes, and a fast wi-fi chip that doesn't constantly have to interrupt gameplay when first connecting.

Oh, and third party support!

My hopes are on Nintendo taking a bigger generational leap than usual when they announce their new system.
