ConnectFusion Download Accelerator

I've been using Download Accelerator Plus for a while and it works pretty well when downloading large files from slow sites.

The point of them with broadband is to have multiple connections to max out a fast broadband connection. You will find it extremely hard maxing out your bandwidth off a single HTTP stream from a lot of sources. If you care about downloading large files fast they still have a benefit.

Bingo. I use FDM, and whilst its not useful all the time you realise the usefulness when you're getting slow speeds off a single stream.

Edit: So I just downloaded this program to give it a try. I was initially skeptical, but I was quickly won over. Guys, this is no joke. This thing works. Within 2 minutes, I was feeling the gains.

I'm quickly grew to 6'3", had my facial structure change into the handsomest man alive, a trillion US dollars mysteriously appeared in my back account, and a Tesla Model X drove itself into my garage. Best of all my penis is 12" long. Flaccid.

I... I literally just can't even right now. This must be a dream. Someone please wake me up.

Yeah FDM is pretty good.
 
WinRAR is a powerful archive manager. It can backup your data and reduce the size of email attachments, decompress RAR, ZIP and other files downloaded from Internet and create new archives in RAR and ZIP file format. As a general thing, the average number of developers of any open source software is 1 person. These things usually don't acquire more developers unless the software is great, and the people developing it are actively building a community of developers. It's one of the biggest problems with open source software, but it is also a fact that makes it very unlikely that this will see any further development unless you are developing it.

I feel 7zip more fits this thread.

7-Zip is open source software. Most of the source code is under the GNU LGPL license. The unRAR code is under a mixed license: GNU LGPL + unRAR restrictions.

So I did some searching around this program and Zero3K and by the looks of it he's just genuinely fascinated by the project and honestly just wants some tech wizards to ultimately do what he lacks the power to do; improve it. I did think something shady was going on behind this but if you search as I did Zero3K kind of spiritually and unofficially tried to take over the program by uploading it to SourceForge and GitHub trying to make changes and improve it by himself but without the capability nor the facility to do so.

Why? I have absolutely no idea. The software was last updated in 2005 by its original and (by the looks of it) now defunct developer so why he has his heart set on this amidst hundreds of superior and more recent programs I don't know. If this is your hobby and passion Zero3K why not study this as a career or something and work on the project yourself? The mistake you made was providing a very generic and evidently copy and pasted OP that had no details whatsoever to effectively communicate your intentions.

That made everyone skeptical, guarded and of course we all then jumped on you. Seriously Zero3K consider my advice. Why not get into software development?
 
Last time I used a "download accelerator" was when I was downloading a bootleg copy of Borland C++ back in the 56K days. I really needed it to be able to do my programming homework. It still look like a week.
