Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 12: Gwah, hah. Welcome to the Bowser's game.

I love unlocking things, characters included. It offers an exciting sense of progression. I'd be totally okay with even the original 12 being the only starter characters and having to unlock everyone else.

Realistically, though, I'd say that if we're looking at a 50-character roster, we'll get around 35 to start and have to unlock the last 15 or so. I'd be fine with that. As for who should be unlockable, I guess my choices would be:

- Greninja
- Palutena
- Robin
- Lucina
- Shulk (assuming he's in)
- Chorus Kids (assuming they're in)
- Mega Man
- Pac-Man
- Captain Falcon
- Ness
- Jigglypuff
- Luigi
- Wolf
- Mr. Game & Watch
- Toon Link
- R.O.B.

So basically all the newcomers who aren't on either box, the original four secret characters, two oddball characters, and two somewhat alternate versions of characters already in the starting roster
(no Toon Link and Wolf are not clones in the strictest sense, but you know what I mean)

I'm pretty late about this, but concerning the PotD: I'm going to use Beat always forever even if it's a terrible up special. He's too adorable to pass up.

Also, I know this will never happen, but I want this as a costume for Mega Man.

Ness and Wario stand out to me as the veterans that it is really strange we haven't had them announced yet so I would assume that is the case with them (as I also thought it was super strange we hadn't had Capt. Falcon announced until he was shown in the trailer.) What do you guys think? Are they saving some veterans because they will showcase in trailers or will they just be announced like Meta Knight was randomly in the coming weeks?

Then I would guess Ice Climbers next week, then Ness with Shulk in two weeks, then Wario and Chorus Kid in three or four weeks?

You know, we're in such a Mega Man high lately thanks to his inclusion in Smash it got me thinking...

GAF has a lot of talented spriters, coders, musicians, and artists, what would happen if you got GAF's best talent together and created a Mega Man game? You know, a classic 8-Robot Master homage like 9 and 10. I guess Evilore might not want to run into issues with Capcom (although you have to wonder if they even give a fuck), but I thought it'd be fun if it was for non-profit.

The coolest part would be mimicking the old Design Contests, like coming up with 8 generic "Robot Masters" (such as designating one as "Water Element with Shield Weapon"), and then having GAF submit designs, and voting on them. Maybe have some contests to design minor enemies as well, and name them after the user who made them.

Just thought it was a neat idea that I'm surprised GAF's never tried...or, have they in the past? I know Dude-Bro sort of fell through, but it seems this would be easier as you have a solid base to work from.

One of my dreams has been to be able to design new Pokemon or new Robot Masters, so I'd love if something like that happened.

Ness is almost definitely a part of someone's trailer in my mind. I really don't see why he or Lucas haven't been revealed yet.

Well, it is Germany. They're into a lot of weird stuff. Maybe Chibi-Robo is popular over there?

Why would Evillore, or anyone for that matter, be concerned with what other members do on their own spare time?

Unless he's funding on behalf of Neogaf it's really just rounding up people which is probably highly unlikely outside of a contest or something where a prize or money is involved.

That said I am learning coding so it's something I'd be down with provided its a
smash game featuring neo mods of course

I was mainly thinking if we did the main community part of it, ask GAF to design and vote on the Robot Masters...

Yeah, I guess it wouldn't be an issue, but you never know what big companies will do now.
 
Ganondorf and Ice Climbers.

The rest of the veterans aren't that interesting (well, unless Snake, Ivysaur, or Squirtle return) in terms of getting in, I mean I'll be happy to see them...

But Ganondorf and Ice Climbers got that "X-Factor". Everyone's still waiting to see if Sakurai will finally do Ganondorf justice, and I'm still wondering if the Ice Climbers will get cut, or split into a single character with Popo and Nana working like the WFT/Robin alts.
