PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | August 2014

I just want two more ports before the Vita dies and both are Persona 5 and Disgaea D2.

Change the bolded into a Persona 3 Remaster and I'm game :D! While I would love for Persona 5 to be on Vita, I just don't think that will happen due to the game not being able to run on Vita (they are using an in-house engine for that and so far it is only on PS3; there is a good chance that it will be a really looker for the PS3 :D). Still, would love to see Persona 5 happen on Vita :D.

Personally though, I would love Persona 3 to get a remasterd/golden edition for Vita :D. Mixing the best parts of FES and Portable versions, new content and social links + all the gameplay improvements and engine from P4G = one of the best remasters on Vita XD!

I love Persona 3, so revisiting that with perfected gameplay would be really nice :D.

There's freedom wars.

And Oreshika! And a ton of other games! (list-wars commence)

these are already announced and out in japan. majority of the vita owners that need them already have it also. tons of sony games ? where

I just want a memory card price drop and the 64GB in the west. I don't know how much longer I can live off of my 16GB @__@

it will be 100 american dollars

still cheaper to import

That's weird to say, eh. It's still a game that I am looking forward to.
No Sony games, OK. There are still a lot of quality indie and third party games coming.

I'm not arguing the system is going to light up christmas, but as of now there are still plenty of reasons to be excited if you're not just looking towards the next AAA releases.

I'm afraid 2015 will be a different matter, but so far as a Vita owner my outlook is one of exuberance.

I wouldn't worry about that. I foresee companies like NIS, Xseed, IF and such making Vita their home for a good couple years. It's like deja vu with PSP and that gen switch over. Especially if PS4 really isn't catching on in Japan as is being said.

So I asked earlier but there was another discussion going on that kind of overshadowed so I will ask again.

If I liked Gundam Musou games and i'm really getting into One Piece on Toonami will I enjoy Pirate Warriors? And which one should I get, 1 or 2?

Also I will always have a place in my heart for DBZ and I kind of liked the demo for Battle of Z. Is it worth 7.50 for Vita or hold out for an even cheaper sale?

Power of Sardines!

Is it because I have a white Vita that I'm more positively disposed towards the system?

Never played a DBZ game, and I'm super impressed by Battle of Z. If you're a fan, you HAVE to get it. A ton of fanservice (afaik), technically very nice (I posted some screenshots on the previous page) and seemingly a ton of content/characters/story.

The gameplay is very cool, it can get frantic but there are a lot of systems and when you're mastering them you feel like an anime badass.

The scale of some of the battles is pretty amazing, I'm doing a 3-on-1 battle against a (SOTC-sized) giant Vegeta-ape, and it's epic.

Here is a good video of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MsqXAOsx4M

It actually got me hyped for the series and I'm going to have to check out some other games/try to watch the show.

Thanks. i bought OP Pirate Warriors 2. I'm going to sleep on DBZ. I have so many Vita games in my backlog i'm not sure but if I do get it I will then have enough to get the GoTG Zen Pinball table so thats a plus.

Almost done with Re;Birth. Quite a short jRPG.

With all the money you spent on such fine titles such as Killer is Dead, CoD BLoPs declassified, NSMBU, etc etc you could of probably already bought a 64GB

Bought the PS3 version of J-Stars Victory because I have no hope in a localization despite what the rumors say, and holding off on Terrible Box Art Eater 2 for now. Still trying to find a physical copy of DJMAX Technika Tune, but that game doesn't seem to be available in Japan anymore either.

Wow...

Reading some impression of people on Senran Kagura 2 makes me annoyed.

If Estival Versus has more
Homura bullshit or Homura/Asuka Rivalry focus
, I'm gonna submit feedback pretty much that being the only topic. Can't remember if they do enquete but there's always twitter.

I don't hate
Homura or Asuka
, but it's pretty crappy that they always get the focus.
That decisive fight in SV should have been between Rin and Daidouji, not those two.

It's (one of the many, many) reasons why I think Bleach sucks big time.

Update to the price difference of Phantom Breaker in the EU:

To EU regions: The prices currently listed in the PSN store are correct. We're sorry for the different prices communicated earlier, but they will not be changing in the foreseeable future. We're also chasing down the issue with the Kurisu DLC.

Sorry for all the hiccups. Submissions are a different beast across every country, region, and console. We're learning right along with you. Please bear with us - because with this experience under our belt, comes more 5pb titles coming across the ocean! And THAT can only be a good thing.

We've got some giveaways planned to make it up to you. Keep tuned in!

So if I hadn't bought BLOPS for $10 several months ago, NSMBU which I got for free, and Killer is Dead for $5 I would have had enough money for a 64GB? lolok

Bought Battle of Z since it was on sale.

Is it just me or is it super hard? At least to begin with. Enemies like Vegeta and Nappa take off like a quarter of my health in one combo and getting up close to melee them is a chore since they spam long range attacks.

I got it when it came out, and played it for a week or so a few months back... I liked it, but it didn't get too hard for me until the Buu saga where I stalled out after doing the Z fighter's side of the story. At that point, I'd say, yeah... it can be a hard game. Grinding to compensate seems like it would have taken forever.

Yeah I guess it's not too bad since team mates revive you and you get retries. Does seem like the card system would become very grindy.

I got bored of it pretty fast (read: 30 minutes). the combat lacks depth and is highly repetitive. for me it feels like button mashing and staring a beautiful sprites.

It gets a lot deeper when you unlock special moves. Heck, you've already got a special move without needing to unlock it, which is Down+X. These moves are what really make the characters unique.

To download games onto the vita, do I need to have double the required space the store lists like on the PS3? Thinking about picking up Akiba's Trip 2.

No, though sometimes you need very slightly more than the size of the download depending on the game/download method.

Thanks. Akiba is 2.5gb, do you think that 2.7 will suffice if it's a direct download onto the Vita? Does transferring from PS3 to Vita require more or less space?

2.7GB free should be fine, I think I had slightly over 2.6GB free when I downloaded my copy.

PS3 transfers generally require more space, as they usually funnel the updates directly into the transfer process. For a game like Akiba's Trip that doesn't have any yet though, it's about the same.

Papers Please is coming to Vita.

#PSVitaDirect

You all know that our only chance to ignite some awareness about this AMAZING handheld into people's minds and not let it become the all new Dreamcast Portable.

Let's try to send that hashtag to Shahid and Yoshida as many times as we can. if we started #PS4noDRM campaign and things like Banderas.gif we can do this too.

I sold my Vita at the beggining of this year, just to buy another one TODAY even with all the negativity around it. We CAN'T let this beauty to die ALONE.

WHO'S WITH ME FELLOW VITABROS?

Even if it succeeds i don't see a single Vita direct(because we won't get more than one) making miracles.

Today's Sony only understands money, imo it would be more effective something like #SupportPSVitaBoycottSony suggesting to buy only used PS4 consoles(or not at all) and used first party PS4 games(or not at all) until Sony doesn't restart supporting Vita.
