I was told in the Star Citizen thread that they're aiming for a 2018 release. Parts of the game will presumably go into early testing before then, like the dogfighting stuff has, though.

Thats not a CG, its all ingame assets and rendering, there is tons of aliasing there.

Yeah the entire part in the spaceship was either all in-engine or mixed with CG. The ship itself had a lot of aliasing and visible use of normal mapping.

Looks so good. Can't wait for this to release...whenever that will be.

It is pretty much just as good right now in the pre-alpha. This is a PC exclusive CE game. I don't see why it won't look about this good if not better.

Ehm what? It's a PC game and pc games don't get downgraded unlike consoles. They will keep pushing the graphics even further then today. Talking about a downgrade makes me laugh.

Sure, i understand. But to me it seems they are busier with making cinematics and selling people new ships and hangars then actually pouring all the effort into making more game.
