How much money did their kickstarter actually make?
The Kickstarter got $2,134,374 but they kept the funding open on their website and now they're at over $49,500,000.

CG trailers don't excite me
Just watching this trailer and knowing nothing about it, i wanna say Bioware already made this game. It was called Mass Effect.
Nope, that's what a current-gen only game looks like.

No. Not even remotely.Wasn't Star Citizen meant to be an android/ios game?
Believe it when I see it
Wasn't Star Citizen meant to be an android/ios game? Or is that something totally different?
It did look amazing.
Also made me sad that there are no good far-future science fiction TV series anymore.
So are you able to go on planets in this? It has my curiosity.
Its bad CG if it is.

This game is really damn ambitious. I wonder how it will all pan out. I'd already be satisfied with the sp campaign.Exploration is one of the pillars of the game.
1. FPS combat (in space and on ground)
2. Spaceship sim
3. Economy simulator
4. Exploration sim, in space and on ground
That was a very pretty trailer, but all I'm left with is how really generic the atmosphere seemed. (I mean aside, from the obvious 2001 parody!)
I hope that's not indicative of the overall game.
Holy shit. If you refresh the stretch goals page of the site the money keeps flowing virtually non-stop. I dont understand!!
People buy super expensive space ships for a game that isn't out yet. It's a bit crazy but I suppose the community is really excited.Holy shit. If you refresh the stretch goals page of the site the money keeps flowing virtually non-stop. I dont understand!!

I agree. The only thing I care about is getting an SP game in the same vein as Freespace 2. Honestly, I don't care all that much about the MMO persistent universe stuff, though it could be cool if done well. This game is really damn ambitious. I wonder how it will all pan out. The 2001 references were poorly executed and unnecessary. It sort of ruined the trailer.
Apart from horribles faces looks pretty good. All that 50 million bucks.

They didn't do a Kickstarter, it's all been done through their own website.
It's currently nearing $50 million.
This is incorrect.
