Star Citizen - Constellation Commercial - You will say WOW

No offense at all to people looking forward to Star Citizen, but I will say "wow" when they ship the full game with the scope they've promised. I feel like things have really gotten out of hand and I hope they're able to deliver on all the stretch goals in a reasonable time frame.

Just watching this trailer and knowing nothing about it, i wanna say Bioware already made this game. It was called Mass Effect.

Believe it when I see it

Wasn't Star Citizen meant to be an android/ios game? Or is that something totally different?

I think you mean star command? and that is out some time, not really good tho :(

Its bad CG if it is.

So are you able to go on planets in this? It has my curiosity.

Exploration is one of the pillars of the game.

1. FPS combat (in space and on ground)
2. Spaceship sim
3. Economy simulator
4. Exploration sim, in space and on ground

It's not out of the realm of possibility for the game to look this good. Space-based games generally look great since you have way fewer assets to deal with.

Look at the EVE trailers. Those are in game assets and the game generally looks just like that. This is mostly because they're rendering a skybox and a couple of ships at any give time (same reason Ace Combat looks pretty sharp).

This game is really damn ambitious. I wonder how it will all pan out. I'd already be satisfied with the sp campaign.

The hangar doesn't run that well on my rig, so if it eventually comes in 2018, I wouldn't mind if it isn't the best looking game around, but runs easily. After all, it is an MMO.

That was a very pretty trailer, but all I'm left with is how really generic the atmosphere seemed. (I mean aside, from the obvious 2001 parody!)

I hope that's not indicative of the overall game.

Holy shit. If you refresh the stretch goals page of the site the money keeps flowing virtually non-stop. I dont understand!!

Ahh i see its a in game world commercial for a "space ship" dealer.

Maybe its just super far far away till we really see what this is?

People buy super expensive space ships for a game that isn't out yet. It's a bit crazy but I suppose the community is really excited.

That was great homage to both 2001 and Mass Effect :)
Looks amazing, I really hope the game will not disappoint.

I agree. The only thing I care about is getting an SP game in the same vein as Freespace 2. Honestly, I don't care all that much about the MMO persistent universe stuff, though it could be cool if done well.

I'm just really worried it won't because they're promising so much.

People upset about a 2016 release date for all elements of the game, you guys realize that this was originally funded in late 2012, right? 3 1/2 to 4 years development time for a game of this scale is not uncommon at all. In fact, I'd prefer they take their time to ensure it's done right.

Apart from horribles faces looks pretty good. All that 50 million bucks.

Always a problem as fidelity increases with handmade stuff - making something look good in that manner is extremely difficult. They are moving to basing their head models on 3D scans now.

I thought it was mostly in space, didnt know it involved planets and aliens. I presume the planets are procedural, sounds insane, even if they deliver a portion of what they are saying, it seems like it will be worth playing.
