As a British person I feel double-betrayed just because there's no british-made characters in smash.
Banjo & Kazooie would/should have been in Smash by now.
B&K, Killer Instinct, Conker, Perfect Dark, Battletoads, Jet Force Gemini ( ;_; ) and everything from back when they were called Ultimate could all have been represented in some way, shape or form in Smash by now.

You Brits have it easy, anyway, only you and Japan have characters originating from your countries.

The only one that comes to mind that could have/should have been playable is Dark Samus.
Doesn't really seem like there's many on the level of old Rare.

There aren't, and the only other one I can think of is Alex Roivas.
That's one reason why I want Retro, Monster, or Next Level* to make a new IP.

I'm not sure I can wait that long. Its a good thing my classes start back up tomorrow so I'll have something to take my mind off of smash.
I don't know if Sakurai will wait that long. Smash is the type of game that people are chomping at the bit for, and leaking seems likely. I'd hate for my first experience with a for sure newcomer in a blurryish screenshot when it could be through an awesome reveal trailer.

I think it means they've left the door open for dlc tracks if they decide to do so, the fact the game has 16 reserved spots for tracks with no info other then that there is a spot for them makes that a more likely answer then unused concepts. That doesn't mean dlc tracks are coming mind you, just that if they decide to do them the ground work is in the game for them
Plus the file on the 4 cup icons flat out says dlc <_<

I'm kind of the same. To be honest, I think another contributor to the slow hype decline is that all the new events showing off Smash bros are STILL using the same E3 build too. I've pretty much stopped watching any vids of it.
As other say I expect we'll get some stuff at least in the following month but I wonder if they'll ever top the FE direct hype
