Aside from the Famitsu scan matching evidence to the leaked stage select, there has only been speculation.
First Xenoblade, now Metroid Prime.
Next thing you know is that you are gonna say you have't played Catherine or Resident Evil 4 or something!
I think when you argue "importance" for any of them you're sort of splitting hairs - like, Rundas is probably twice as important as Sylux, but 2 x 0 = 0. Y'know?
Personally, I think Weavel is a good choice (he's my personal favorite which is a bias, I admit, but he's a Space Pirate rep so that gives him SOME credit), Sylux has always seemed destined for greatness, and Trace is just cool looking. But that's my preference; they're all way down on my Metroid rep list.
Stage Select screen had a shot of the Tomadachi Life stage with unseen details that were then confirmed in Famitsu.

On one hand, I really want all of this to be real because of the DLC list. On the other hand, if that DLC list turns out not to be real, than this roster can choke on bawlz.

Apart from Ridley and Dark Samus (and maybe Kraid as well, though size could be a problem), I assume a Torizo could work quite well as a character:
They appear quite frequently in Super Metroid as enemies and statues and as only statues (then called Chozo Statues) in Metroid Fusion and Metroid: Zero Mission.

He was already too close to Mario for my taste in Melee. What if he's closer? I'm fine with his moves looking the same if they have different launch angles, etc. Make his Bair spike or something crazy like that.

Joke images aside lol, yeah you should definitely look into getting it back someday. It's a great trilogy and you'll (hopefully) see why people want Retro to go back to it so badly. Though I personally think they should do an original IP themselves at this point.
If this is the case, then the "clone corner" is even more stupid than previously thought, and that's saying something. There's literally no reason for that to exist.
I had the idea of a Chozo statue item that appears holding a valuable item. Picking up the item has the disadvantage of angering the statue and turning it into a Torizo that comes after you.Rösti;126343697 said:

I really hope if we get another Metroid developed by Retro, this will be addressed. I hate Metroid Prime Hunters (even more than Other M, actually), but I always really liked Sylux's character design. He seemed really cool, and I'd like to see him back at some point. Won't happen unless we get another Metroid developed in the West, I suspect.
No I mean where a supposed leak of some sort happened, then the next day's picture was all "LOL WRONG"
I'm waiting for the rest of the dub to come out.

I gotcha. I think Heath's right, the Palutena statue is the last thing I can think of.

If the leak is true, then I hope that Dark Pit uses other weapons and not the same that Pit use. I mean, in Kid Icarus Uprising there's a high variety of weapons to choose.

If this is legit, I have a feeling Dark Pit and Dr. Mario have the same moves as SSB4 Pit and Mario respectively, with properties changed. So no Dr. Tornado.
Otherwise I don't see any reason for them to be carted off into a corner with Lucina when Toon Link is listed normally.
