Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread XIII: Leak Dynasty

I hear you. The main theme gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.

Melee's main theme was great and Brawl's was fantastic, but this is just on a whole different level.

I can't get into it, I dunno Melee and Brawls sounded unique, this sounds a bit ... generic i guess, epically the start up.

...Can anyone tell me how this forum jumped from page 97 to page 144 in less than 12 hours?

The hype is real.

But actually because people were hoping that today's update would either confirm or deny the leak. Typically when the updates happen late they are usually bigger/include some sort of website change, which could actually affect the leak but it didn't and now we're in for a crazy ride throughout the weekend.

On the bright side, we got three ballin' music pieces to help tide us over and the Metaknight Banner disappeared which can fuel speculation of another reveal soon.

Something I noticed, the music is sorted similarly as Brawl's again (remember, in Brawl, the music of the DK series is tagged as B, Zelda as C), except that the screenshot does not have any Mario music (A) on there; instead, the top-most is the Battlefield theme.

That either means that the sound test's music has to be unlocked, or that they specifically did not show a complete music list yet.

I've always liked the 'bridge'/release of the Smash themes.

The part at 0:20 on the multi-man theme here.

The "Socii sunt mihi, qui olim viri fortes rivalesque erant" part in Brawl.

The "Shiek and Zelda" part of the song in the Melee opening.

In Brawl and Melee they used musicbox arrangements of these parts of the song when the trophy drops. I have a feeling they'll do that with the :20 mark part of the new theme. I think this is the best one.

I also like how in JP they use 'Arrange' instead of remix, since these are technically arrangements. A 'Remix' uses the source material (actual sound file) and remixes it, but in American English any arrangement or cover we just call a 'remix'.

Has anybody figured out what Afoni is talking about? What does he see with his special eyes?

He's probably just messing with people.

The only difference that might be important I've noticed is that "Full Steam Ahead" is called "Train Field 2" in the Japanese shot, which might suggest that there's another Spirit Tracks bgm, so more than four Zelda bgms (more than 2 stages). However, people can just bring up the "some bgms are only for Smash Run" bit.

From what I can tell, the secret is that the background is animated. Compare the Japanese and English screenshots. Not that I think that means other backgrounds have to be animated too.

Thanks for the replies all, and I just went back and skimmed the pages; this was a pretty late update, but to have a mod lock the thread? seemed...excessive.

You weren't THERE.

Seriously though, it was pretty out of control. I wasn't surprised. I don't think many of us were. It was like a camp sleepover and we were all eight and up way past our bedtime and the junior counselor snuck off to party. We didn't know what to do with ourselves and we were just freaking out and being weird. Then the real authority came and shut it down.

Has that person done anything else more noteworthy than Dr. Mario? Seems weird to point out that series specifically unless that's all they've done.

You're joking....right? The man is the Godfather of Nintendo music. If there's a great Nintendo soundtrack from the 8-bit or 16-bit era that wasn't composed by Koji Kondo, chances are high Tanaka was involved.

No it's clearly Nintendo vs Capcom

This is the most apt comparison I've seen. lol

Yeah, the 7 Koma one. All the players online used the 'cool' power characters, and Super Patch being the most badass laughter character let me clean house.

Super patch was actually a cool character

I had read this somewhere a while ago, but obviously super patch is a DBZ reference. Bobobo, is a parody series in its series parodying multiple types of manga, most notably fist of the north star. From what I understand Super patch was Super Saiyain a joke, but a lot of people actually thought super patch was cool, and it confused the mangaka.
