PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | August 2014

I'll play the game and let you handle the Tidus cutscenes and the sphere grid then.

If you can somehow deal with the walking in a straight line for hours and hours, the miserable story, the ridiculous minigames, andh handle blitzball for me, we would make an unstoppable team. ;)

There is literally nothing wrong with that scene in context.

There isn't. He's just learned that
his father is Sin
. It is supposed to be a forced and awkward laugh.
This. Thank you. I really don't get the Tidus hate. I hate Wakka a lot more than Tidus, most of the time. I have a very low tolerance for bigots/racists.

Didn't mean my post at all at as most hated character, my apologies.

He's not the worst by any means, and when I eventually beat FF X-2 years from now, I'll find out the story.

I would say can we agree that Vaan sucks all-round, but I'm not ready to be banned for hatred and I'm sure that people more vocal than me can defend him far better than I'm wanting to hate on him.

Please get better Square Enix, for all our sakes!!!

I hate everyone except Lulu. And maybe Rikku. :P

Vaan > Tidus, all day, e'rryday. Since I felt the characters in FF12 were mostly interchangeable, I was left to judge them mostly on design -- and Vaan, Fran, and Balthier were the only 3 I ever used because of it.
Hell, I might even be willing to take Hope over Tidus. :P

Well the Digital version of the game also crashes to (very rarely though; only happened once in Ratchet 2 and twice in Ratchet 3), the crashing was too bad for EU to justify the cost of printing retail carts for NA. I guess they made the carts before the issue started popping up? That is the only reason I can see Sony just release the game in that state in EU :l.

As baekshi said, this could hardly be the case...the only thing I can think of is that they needed a retail version in Europe.

From the reports I read, the 2nd game crashes every time you go/leave any non-planet level, like the Thug Battlesphere, Giant Clank evels and dogfighting levels. It saves your progresses so you can go further (except for the second Giant Clank level, so you'll miss the map-o-matic) but it's a very big problem.

Glad they included Omega aswell. When it comes to the West i'll grab it for sure, only played the original but enjoyed it, i'd love to trek through the rest on another platform that suits me better.
I've read from several people that performance-wise, it's the best of all first-party Vita HD collections.
It really is. Native resolution for 2 and 3 so they look crisp (Sly 1 still looks alright) and run at 30fps with drops only on a couple of areas (only the final level of Sly 2 so far but that's a huge airship) Highly underrated ports compared to the rest of Sonys Vita ones.

Borderlands 2 is a much better game if you mute dialog and turn off subtitles.

I'm giving it a try on PS3 thanks to PS+ and I want to headshot that fucking Claptrap guy. It's so annoying that I may drop the game just due to its voice (Spanish dub though). Everytime he speaks I want to kill somebody.

But I think he's onto something. I might try that the next time I try to get into the game.

Yeah, I'll check if it's possible to disable dialog voices but keep the player character voices.
Playing Gaige without sound would be so very very sad.

If you can't enjoy Borderlands' writing I think you're playing the wrong game.

Also this.

Everytime he speaks I want to kill somebody.

At least you'll get XP and loot this way, so all is fine.

Not sure if those supposedly improve performance or if you just don't like the writing.

I think the dialog and voice acting is bad, but if I turn voices and the subtitles off the game has an almost mysterious vibe to it. Plus I can listen to idle thumbs while I play and pretend that I found an ipod after the apocalypse or whatever.

Counterspy is good, just need to do something during the level load...like what I'm doing now.

Crimsonland was awesome, going to play it after this, beat it on Normal yesterday.

What do you have to do to get a good star on a level in Crimsonland do you know? I got one by chance. I need to gold star everything now.

I played the first one on iOS, and it's dog shit. Dunno how the sequels improved on it, but I won't be touching it.
They didn't. I bought all of them back when I could still handle playing lengthy games on iOS, but I could only bring myself to beat the first one. Probably the most boring JRPG series I've ever played.

Boring, generic, uninspired, easy, ugly...

Yeah.... No.

As I posted on its own dedicated topic, after knowing about the upcoming patch with Freedom Wars content, I might buy SSD while it's on sale.

How is The last Tinker? I like how it looks but does it play good? Cant decide if i should buy Tinker or Counterspy, Price is almost the same and i have some Cash left. So any Opinions on Tinker?
