True. If the leak is valid, though, and there are indeed 5 new characters left (not to mention the returning veterans), then I'm not quite sure what Sakurai and Nintendo are waiting for.
5 new characters could easily be 3-4 new character videos. Yet, we're already just 3 weeks away from the release of the 3DS version in Japan, and will therefore likely discover the official roster at some point in the week leading up to the 13th.
Nintendo has only 10 more weekdays to reveal a new character before the possibility of an official leak starts to become incredibly likely. I would much rather be informed of the new characters via their official reveal videos instead of from some random guy who got his hands on the game early and took a screenshot of the roster.

So assuming that the leak is right and we get Corneria and Brinstar as the only Star Fox and Metroid 3DS stages, which two tracks would you pick for each stage? I know little about Star Fox soundtracks, but Metroid has a ton. You'd have to also go with stage-appropriate themes, so I don't think Lower Brinstar (Super Metroid) or Phendrana Drifts (Prime) are good choices for an acid-filled hell.

You raise a good point. Sakurai doesn't like how things are immediately spoiled on the internet. You think he would want to control the hype and the information being let out of his game. I understand he definitely wants to keep surprises for the actual release, but he is definitely aware that within a few days of release all the cats are out of the bag.
So will he release the roster? Or will he stop and let "us" do it?

If it's similar to this image always used in speculation for his character, I'm gonna play the crap out of him. Any character that involves an NES Zapper will become one of my top priorites by default. That thing is my favorite peripheral of all time.

I was thinking about Ridley (possibly) being a boss and saw a post about pig Ganon and then it hit me... I want to see Ganon and Ridley duke it out. Not even necessarily playable, but like in a cutscene. I think that would be great.
So repetitive though. Gimme something new. Maybe Lower Norfair (Super Metroid) and Rundas (Prime 3).
Ridley would get his ass kicked. He's just flesh and blood and maybe a bit of steel or phazon, he's not gonna do much against a ridiculous magical demon like Ganon.
Which would still be great to watch.

It was only a little more than a week, so I would say it's the fastest. Or tied for the fastest. It's really only speculation that the banner(s) come down to make way for a new challenger, but it's also somewhat consistent. So close to release, new characters might be coming regularly. Plus we will probably have another direct soon.

If people could be convicted for 'gaming crimes,' not playing Kid Icarus uprising should be one of them.
Once you get over the hurdle of the controls, it's one of the greatest games ever made.
Same situation as monster hunter, honestly. Once you get over the learning curve, it's one of the greatest things you could ever experience.
That said, it's probably still not for everyone, but to initially dismiss it is a crime.
