Assassin's Creed Unity possible leak *potential spoilers*

Despite the fact that we can pretty much conclude this isn't what we think it is, I don't understand the hype about an AC game structured around so many main characters. You would never be able to flesh out and develop a character like we saw with previous main characters with such a limited amount of time devoted to each one. The narrative that AC games thrive on is such an integral part of the series.

Some supposed tester of AC:U is claiming that Arno only has 2 missions, and the rest of the game is played by different assassins in different locations.

Lol you posted the same comment on Reddit.

I had to! This seems way too interesting. So basically this is pointing to the fact that Arno might not only be the only singleplayer character and their might be a bigger Story than what we have expected?

Unity, bruh.

No. Read Duckrolls post. If that's too much work for you, look at the image on the characters again and watch the video from this post

Just for some context. In AC4 you could your boss eventually shows you this advertisement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtYyhMGGI5o

They are "Abstergo" projects, not playable characters.

The beginning is interesting, a disguise perk maybe? Arno transforms into the outfit of the guard next to him while running past.

I know, I was explaining the context behind people saying that the leaker was full of it and what they meant by it's most likely something to do with abstergo entertainment.

Unity, bruh.

From what I've seen so far though it seems like Ubisoft is focusing on online co-op to encompass the Unity theme, not splitting up the narrative. Maybe I'm just biased and really like to focus on one character so I can become attached and feel like I'm developing a story.

Also, looking at this video I am super impressed with the dynamic character movement. I love the stumbling and flailing to find balance, it's so much more realistic.

With Ezio I would agree with you but after the fiasco that was 3(in which the halfassed secondary player character was infinitely more bearable than the protagonist)
I say do whatever makes for the most interesting/entertaining game.

And yes, this thread went down that road again. True or not, real or fake, leave that guy alone with the troubles he may or may not get into. It'll be the best for us too.

Is NDA so hard to understand?

I think the main positive of this is that we got some pretty funny gifs. We basically got the AC equivalent of
Mass-Effect-%D1%84%D1%8D%D0%BD%D0%B4%D0%BE%D0%BC%D1%8B-Shepard-gif-819678.gif

Reading around it seems this "leak" is not as if you "only played 2 missons with Arno and then the rest" and that it "wasn't possible because no way you could play as so many characters".

This was just side missions from Abstergo which had you playing across different time periods with each assassin on small-closed areas. Basically you collecting memories as the the time runs out. Separate from the main story/game.

Interesting anyway. Real or fake...I guess it's time to avoid Unity threads because of possible story spoilers. :p

Adding to the fact there are a handful of Ubisoft employees/ play testers in this thread saying some of this is bs, why wouldn't Ubi announce that you would play as different assassins from different time periods. That's something you would announce at E3.

Sometimes is better to be surprised than know every single thing about game. I was really sad when they revealed few other things like
Murder Investigations
and
Nostradamus puzzles
. They should keep those as secret.

Personally hope it's true as an added 'side-mission' type thing where we get to play segments of different eras and assassins rather than it being a main story type thing.

That first GIF is cracking me up. It looks like he's stuck in a "firing" position. I can't deal with how his legs swing around.

If this is real I expect it's something similar to challenge maps in the Batman Arkham game but slightly expanded to give players some back story.

They already spoke about how certain aspects of the game won't be fully open world and instead confirmed to specific environments. This seems like an evolution of that.

Think of it like you get a section of Venice and Ezio with a target. The little story told pertainig to the larger story of assassins Creed unity.

If I'm right it sounds pretty great.

What you are seeing is the structured campaign level list. Each level affords a different location such as Ireland during the Great Famine. Each level then has its own assassin for the area. The levels are wholly coopable from the investigation, to the assassination, to the side missions/diversions.
Players can either join free roam and accompany you into missions, or you can start a mission via matchmaking.

Okay this is bullshit. I dont believe this to be in the game. I am pretty sure its just some video packages from Abstergo that you can watch after hacking/unlocking computers in present day like ACIV.

This just doesnt sound real to me. Plus knowing how devs thinks these days, if Ubi is going to do this, they will be doing this as a DLC in future.

So I am not buying into this BS.

Aside from the WIP animations, the graphics are actually stunning. Both of those look vaguely like real-life.

Ubisoft's colour palette is so realistic, I love it. I don't know if it's still called HDR, but it used to be. It's what made the ENB GTA mod, Arma 3 and Infamous Second Son (just a handful of examples) look so photo realistic at times.

If it's not called HDR anymore, then it's just whatever colour correction they're doing to simulate (over/under)exposure of light is just awesome.

I didn't believe that this was part of tbe campaign so that "lie" doesn't bother me. But these are still playable segments, right? That's all I need to know. Otherwise, wtf are we looking at?

i dont know what im looking at but i want it

edit: if these are some blackbox co-op missions spread throughout the various games/assassins that would be awesome.

I don't know what the hell is happening here, but isn't it possible that these "playable" sections are just gonna end up being Abstergo records or something? I'm thinking they're just vids, assuming this is even real (I haven't followed the entire thread :P).
