Hey guys, it's me, wildvine47, the apparently now-infamous Chunky reporter. I got a personal message over on Smashboards telling me that you guys had some questions about what I saw way back when and all of the stuff I posted about, so here goes.

I was at the Schaumburg Best Buy for Smashfest, and we were on the Colosseum Stage. I was playing as Wii Fit Trainer, and I remember that the person who picked up the AT to unleash him was Pikachu. When he was released, he stood in place for a few seconds, then jumped into the air, and did a ground pound (which unfortunately no one was underneath, meaning I don't know if the pound itself does damage), rumbling the screen a bit. Afterwards, bananas fell down from the top of the screen in his general area, and they bopped people on the head, doing really light hits that made people flinch. A few bananas were left behind as peels. After the banana rain ended, he looked at the camera, shrugged, and disappeared. I do not have video of him, as my friend and cameraman was stopped from recording videos after one of the matches (as you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMLuEhbK3ak), and Chunky appeared in a later one.

As for the Cranky Trophy, it was on Smash Run on the 3DS. I played Yoshi and spent most of the time toying around with his changed moves, but grabbed up some goodies along the way. In-game they showed up as question marks, but afterwards at the results screen, it showed that one of the trophies I picked up was Cranky's, the same one from Brawl it seemed.

That's all of the DK-related content I got out of Smashfest. I really am sorry I didn't get the footage, as I would've liked to have some proof to back myself up, but if nothing else there are quite a few scattered other reports around the net and on Smashboards that have also seen him. While I'm confident in what I saw, and AFAIK all of the rest of the non-DK information in my post way back when has also been confirmed to be genuine, without pictures or video, I myself would also take it with a heavy grain of salt had I not seen it myself. Hopefully some footage comes to light or he gets shown on the Dojo sooner rather than later so we can finally put the matter to rest.

Not sure! I would expect so, but it's hard to say. At the very least, Nindori makes no mention of stage alternates. :/
 
Before I go to bed, I just want to laugh at the craziness that is Smashboard moderators and how I learned today that there is indeed a way to have less than zero credibility.

The part of that image I love most is the fact that K. Rool's stock face is counted as an "anime expression". We should call Japan and tell them they've been doing moé wrong all these years - apparently, it needs to involve crocodiles.

Don't start a new fetish, please. Japan already has enough as is that its starting to lose its identity.

In regards to the third part of the leak (which includes the Shulk 'render' and the end-game Red Team screen). The guy was just being an attention whore.

Best thing about this is he's managed to convince a ton of people on smashboards lol.

Ponder this for one second, what does making edits of original renders to look "shoddy" but very similar do exactly? Considering they are in the same pose. Especially if both his "edited" leaks and "original" leaks from someone else existed at once if his "plan" came to fruition.

Also I see no edited Shulk in his leaked gameplay pics, yet he mentions that Shulk render causing confusion "as it did." Did notice something I didn't before tho, the CPU's have their name as "CPU" while in the E3 demo CPU's took their level as their name.

Wait...what? He (allegedly) leaked screenshots, then tried to fabricate another screenshot to disprove the "leak" that he posted in the first place?
 
I still stand by Mewtwo being in as an unlockable character.

He's too popular worldwide to be excluded considering his regained relevance in XY.

Mewtwo has a higher chance of returning than freaking Dr. Mario. No sane person would put him in the game again after the new focus on alternate costumes.

Of course everything the SmashBoards mods are saying is fake, that's why we're making fun of them lol.

Anyway, I'm actually pretty excited to use Dr Mario. I'm legitimately curious to see if he uses FLUDD or the Tornado though.

Yeah honestly a little frustrating. I refuse to believe there's more translation work to be done than on a damn Pokemon game (we're also getting the remakes of the Hoenn titles a week later because... Reasons).
 
I hope there's a new Smash Direct very soon where Sakurai reveals the entire roster. I'd rather get it from him than some random guy in Japan who got it early.
 
Just realized staying up until around 3 a.m. has become a habit for me. Weekends blow. Hope you're all doing well, I need to crash
