I will give them not knowing what a ddos is.Just to make thinks clear the group is targeting everyone from Blizzard to Riot and even steam with varying level of success at taking their services down, for no good reason at all. You would think the same sort of concerns should be had with those other services too.

Nothing was compromised. A DDoS attack is simply a crazy amount of false traffic sent to the server to cause it to crash.

Its not a Hack. The Network is not compromised. Xbox live has been DDOSd before, it happens you cant really do much against it.

In case you're not trying to be funny, and genuinely don't understand what's going on - this is not a hack of any kind, this is people systematically and aggressively querying the network causing it to collapse under the strain. Nothing in terms of data is at risk here.

On-topic: I haven't been able to get on all day, just rebooted my PS3 and after failing the auto-signin, I managed to manually get on the Network. GTA Online seems pretty populated, so maybe things are easing up?

Someone did something, I don't know if it was DDoS or not, sometime after the release of Battleblock Theatre. Friend and I were locked out all day and when we could finally sign in we couldn't do parties/lobbies for any game. So yes, it has happened.
