I was making an effort to click every day beforehand, but now it's just "oh yeah I should go and click again" every time I see this thread.
I hated that thing so much in Digimon World, until I needed it for that Monzaemon costume. Then I couldn't seem to get it.I guarantee Numemon will pop after Scumon is gone.
So much potential for awesome arcs featuring Royal Knights. And it doesn't have to feature Yggdrasil either.

Isn't there an episode where Patamon is able to digivolve to Angemon because the towers aren't present and they make a big deal out of how strong he is or something?
^ I remember in the show that if possible, the kids would choose Adult evolutions over Armour. Thats why I think its weaker than the regular path.
[Regarding Armor Evolution (from the wiki) "It is an ancient form of Digivolution that was developed when the Digital World was young and it was almost impossible to digivolve even to the Champion level without assistance." Anyone have any idea what this means regarding the strength comparison?
The anime is the anime. But in other media (games, TCG), Armors are just treated like Adults(Champions) or Perfects(Ultimate). It gets even crazier considering some Digimon evolution paths allow for them to evolve into those Armor forms as if they were their respective Adult/Champion or Perfect/Ultimate phases. For example, XV-mon can actually evolve to Magnamon "normally".
yeah i think you guys are actually right. They never use armor evolution once they can evolve to champion.
anyways I'm watching the episode in Adv. 1 where they're looking for the 8th child. They hitch hike and some teenage guy picks them up and is basically flirting with Mimi and Sora, which is super weird b/c they're like 11 lol

Is that the episode where Sora took the blame for Koromon's poop lol?
Man I want to play some of the games. Which ones are the best? In anyone's opinion.
So then whats his perfect form?

2003 was good too.
Speaking of Armor evolution, I wish it went further and allowed everyone to share their Armor digieggs with eachother. We got horrible looking jogress evolutions instead :/
I also played Digimon Rumble Arena 2 for the first time the other day and really enjoyed it with a friend. It's unfortunately barebones, but if you can rent or borrow it, it's worth a play. The stages were better than I expected as well.
Is Digimon World 2 the one where you drive that tank around or something?I haven't played Digimon World 1, but I think Digimon World 2 is fine if you're willing to overlook some flaws. It seems to take a page from the intense evolution charts posted here though, which I think is its largest flaw (DNA Digilution for everything).

There is a radio drama with this concept. This beauty happened...Speaking of Armor evolution, I wish it went further and allowed everyone to share their Armor digieggs with eachother. We got horrible looking jogress evolutions instead :/
I always thought that the game was awesome for having Agunimon. I hope he is in the new PS3/360 game.

I think a friend of mine owned that one...

Skip Digimon World 1 through 4, they're not very good and/or haven't aged well at all. I made a semi-detailed post about each game, but it was a while ago and I don't know if I can find it through GAF search.
Digimon Dawn/Dusk are the go-to games, though. Very good on their own, and also have some Pokemon-like traits when it comes to breeding.
EDIT: Found my post
DW3 isn't awful, and does a good job with the turn-based style of RPG fights, but the lack of any quick-travel options hurts the game badly. Not to mention it's easy to forget your next objective. I've owned the game for years, and I STILL have no clue what I'm supposed to do next.
DO NOT touch DW4. It's easily one of the worst games I've played. It tried to hook people with the X-Men Legends style of gameplay (4P co-op, leveling and equips, etc.), but it failed miserably in the execution. I couldn't get rid of the game fast enough.
The DS games are fantastic. They have a system in place similar to Pokemon's EVs, but it's even less required and much easier than Pokemon. The battles look really simplistic with barely any animations, but it's not a huge deal. Digivolving is also different from the other games. Each Digimon has a level cap that can only be raised by digivolving up or down a level. DW4 tried this system, but the game botched it by having your stats reset to 1 each time. In the DS games your stats don't reset, but they rise/fall accordingly. You can eventually max out your stats by constantly digivolving, and by putting them into your "farms" (which is the equivalent of Pokemon's PCs) where they can do individual training and raise certain stats and elements. It's very, very in-depth and also surprisingly simple.
Digimon World Championship plays kinda like Pokemon Ranger, where you control everything with the stylus, but the battles themselves are random in the sense that you only control where your team moves. You have to hope that they use the moves you have assigned them. A friend of mine who loved World DS and Dawn/Dusk didn't like Championship at all.
Yeah adding Sukamon definitely pissed me off lol. If they would have added him earlier it wouldn't have been so bad but it was seriously right in the final stretch after waiting weeks to get that far. So I just said fuck it, I'll let everyone else do this (I'm still clicking though... just more angrily).
Still can't control my hype.
I don't think Tai's hair will be the exact same, but similar. I think it'll be toned down a bit and smaller. TBH I think his hair in 02 was a little overboard.
I've only played Digimon World 4. Don't play Digimon World 4.
I want to like DW4, because it's essentially X-Men Legends with a Digimon skin (and is also the foundation of the DS games). But holy shit, having all of your stats reset to 1 when you digivolve? Boy, I really hope someone got fired for that blunder.
Royal Knights, they are gathered to manage the world of Yggdrasill, the 13 Holy knights with name of their pride of being the strongest in the Digital World. For the longest time, there wasn't the 13th Royal Knights. After meeting, Gankoomon seeks the potential on the "Hackmon", who was in the Child Level, after numerous strict training, Hackmon surpass its Adult level, Perfect level, and finally evolves to its Ultimate form: "Jesmon" as the 13th Royal Knights. In front of all Royal Knights, they can't gather completely without Alphamon. As the one loyal to Yggdrasill, appreciates the ones who chose his ability, with its incomparable overwhelm power, and in-accordance with the justince he believes in.
Theere's another Cyber World other than the Digital World Yggdrasill dominates: Digital World: Alias, which it's managed under the name of Olympic 12th Digimon. The world that Royal Knights do not interfer with the Olympic 12th. However, if one day Yggdrasill plans to cover virus to the other side of Digital World(Alias)...
Then will there be conflects between the Royal Knights and the Olympic 12th?
Hopefully the new season is as good as Tamers.
I'm at the D-Reaper arc now. This is in my top ten animes.
Are you watching the jap version? Episode 34 is so good.
I'm watching the dub, but yeah, episode 34 was fantastic. I'm at 45 now and just wow.
the only reason i liked agumon is because he reminds me of chamander
Not sure how this indicative of the potential plot in this new show, but http://bokutachinodigitalworld.blogspot.ca/, did a translation of the Royal Knight 13 outlook that was released with Jesmon.

A potential Olympus XII vs Royal Knights storyline? Sign me the hell up.
Huckmon has been added to the new released Digivices too. I guess its all but confirmed now.
I enjoyed Digimon World 1, which is probably the closest in concept to the original Digimon virtual pets. (I think it was made before the anime?)
Last I checked it's not the easiest game to obtain.
The rest of the "main" games (that are in English) are more typical RPGs. I liked Digimon World Dawn/Dusk on the DS.
(You can get Skullgreymon or Diaboromon earlier in Dusk...)
In a case like that, Magnamon is just one of several possibilities for what XV could evolve into next. And that's also considering the notion that in the games/TCG, XV-mon could've evolved from any thing ranging from V-mon to Agumon or Patamon, among others.
Digimon World Dawn/Dusk for the DS still holds up pretty well, I'd think.
I'd recommend the likes of the aforementioned Digimon World 1 and Digimon World Championship (also for DS), but since those games are closer to the V-pets, they may not be to everybody's tastes.
The GOAT
2003 was good too.
Here ya go:
No, not really. They have pretty much the same story line and only like, two or three Digimon are exclusive.thanks guys, I'll definitely look into Dawn/Dusk for the DS. Are there any significant differences between them that make them both worth playing?
ReI think I may still have a Digimon World disk lying around somewhere...
this really makes me want Cyber Sleuth and Reigitize localized ;-;
I have a soft spot for the early dubs, but the subs are better. Especially for parts that need silence or emotional weight.gonna throw a question out to DigiGAF here, how many of you prefer sub to dub or vice versa?
