PSN, Battlenet, Riot, and others DDOSed; PSN returning lightly toasted with butter

do they not understand that paying for DDoS protection 24/7/365 isn't something any huge corporation even really does? not even companies that are in charge of keeping the lights on. at most they just engineer their network to make use of more data centers or have backups ready or that sort of thing, but if MS already does that then why attack them too?

it's deployed as a measure to counter an attack, but not used for long periods of time for the off-chance that someone will try to DDoS. they're just doing the thing that they didn't want to happen. what a bunch of stupid fucks. this is all so stupid.

Sony's lack of improvement on the PS4 OS and network backbone really makes me scratch my head. I mean, I've worked on networks and programming for several years, and understand it isn't easy. But come on, you have to work harder than this.

Well sure, but if MS is hit with a 40 Gbps attack, no problem, if Sony is hit with a 300 Gbps attack, well that's a lot more difficult to deal with.

I'm trying to play a downloaded game, not a disc. It's the last of us and when I tried to turn off the internet, that's when it started telling me it can't get my license. If the internet is on it just loads forever and doesn't finish.
 
The flagrant disregard for the FBI is funny/admirable but the airplane stuff is way over the line. Never understood why these people don't fuck with companies/people that are actually bad.
