PSN, Battlenet, Riot, and others DDOSed; PSN returning lightly toasted with butter

I'm really hoping we see some stronger efforts for coverage on this debacle. I don't want to see a bunch of "security breach" and "data hack" buzzwords just for the sake of clickbait (or due to technical ignorance).

Uhhhh... That's not how debit cards work lol. Credit is much safer for online use because the federal gov has laws that require stolen money to be replaced. Debit cards don't have that security.

So just to confirm, if I just go play Diablo 3 offline (ie, remove the ethernet cable) and earn a ton of trophies, those will be stored locally until they're able to sync with the server right?

Some people have been able to play downloaded SP games once the PS4 gets disco'd from the net. Have you tried that?

I was playing Diablo 3 a few hours ago, and I bought it digitally.
 
Man so people who were already pissed of at Famegod had already posted his address?

I should have elaborated. I know other people have been playing digital games. Their support is just horribly an uninformed. They should not have said I was correct about having to always be online.

I don't have another console, so whatever bs is keeping my ps4 from being "primary" should be fixed. I bought diablo 3 digitally as an exception since i figured i would play it often and didn't want to switch discs. Taught me to never buy digital again.

DDos attacks are interesting. I must be missing something. I work for an IT team for a multinational bank who liases with the Global Infrastructure Team and occasionally we triage this kind of event, rerouting datacentre traffic etc.

I cant say too much about the specifics, im not to high up on the food chain and this may be slightly different in approach but in terms of locating the source its not altogether that difficult or at least Ive seen it done historically. Surely the Feds can do it?
