It's what some of us have been trying to explain to people. That Shulk is not a generic sword user.

I don't know if what we've seen of him is his final moveset but hopefully they show what he's really capable of when the game is released.

One thing about the koopalings thing has me wondering tho. If the alt bit is true, will they have different weights? Not to mention they're all not the same size.

Still really bothered by how strange it is for it to hover directly over land all the time. Looks really strange in a game as mobility based as Smash Bros, and from a 'character' that afaik has always been airborne.

The Clown Car isn't hovering. Look closely. It's walking on its propeller blades. They bend like flippers as it waddles around the playing field.

Considering how this came from an ESRB video, not an actual leaked release, I don't think there'll be any other important leaks until the actual game starts going to people's hands.

Yep, and that's why I'm not going to trust a pure text leak, even from the picture leaker himself. Even if he didn't fuck with people before, text means nothing.

That said that would be quite the awesome roster, except for missing Ice Climbers and Snake. I don't know why they would have Mewtwo back but not Ice Climbers.

That's what i'm understanding too. Which is in reference to this "DLC LEAK":

edit: Actually i saw a leak not too long ago with those exact characters. I'm not sure where it is...
 
Predicting Doctor Mario is up there with predicting Wii Fit Trainer for unexpected characters. So if we're giving legitimacy to Gematsu...

I think the fact that they all have to ride in the clown car solves that probably pretty cleverly though. The characters themselves can sit in the car, but the actual hitboxes/moves will likely be universally the same for all of them and based on the clown car itself.

The hype train has accelerated to interstellar travel. I can't keep up. Wow.

The fact that we still have a few characters to go...this has definitely been one of the most entertaining days.

Probably not. The entire idea that this can work is because the different models can be swapped out but still use the same hitboxes (much like with the Robins and WFTs).

And since size-consistency is not something that's even guaranteed with Bowser and his crew, anyway, I'd be willing to overlook Roy being a bit more diminutive than usual, for the sake of this game.

That kinda just makes me more disgruntled lol. But also kinda makes more sense in an odd way. So I'll take that.
 
I want to stay that I firmly believe that anything that isn't shown in those videos is all stuff to mess with people. There is no DLC list, there wouldn't be. These people do not know.

The only thing I believe is if there is characters left unlocked. A highlight reel for the ESRB will not provide a leaker with info about missing locked characters.

I firmly believe that Lucas, Ice Climbers, Wolf are being held off for the WII U release. With additional newcomers being DLC.

Uh... nowhere in here does it say that those would be DLC characters, all it says is that Wolf, Lucas, Ice Climbers, Chorus Kids and Snake isn't a real list of DLC characters and that Mach Rider, Impa, Mewtwo, Ridley, Dixie and Chorus Kids are assumed to be the last characters in the game, not DLC.

Alright, we'll see. You may be right.

If Ridley/mach rider, etc are in the game, that's ok. I'm reading it the other way around though. I don't know that I buy ridley or mach rider, honestly. It also makes me sad that it would mean ice climbers are cut.

We'll know in a few weeks, I guess.

We could also read it as that all of it was made up. And honestly, without pictures or video, it very well could have been.

I've officially made it "Listen to Xenoblade Chronicles Music All Day" Day! After Mega Man and Little Mac, Shulk was my most wanted character. Can't wait to Monado Buster everyone online!
 
Tend to agree with whomever said it earlier that if Solid Snake or Ridley were playable we'd have seen them by now since both probably could have influenced the rating to some degree.
 
I've been extremely skeptical of all DLC claims since Sakurai said DLC is not on the table at the moment. I know he wouldn't come right out and say it if there was going to be DLC - that he'd be a little cagey - but that seems like an explicit denial that there will be DLC, at least in the beginning. Maybe a year or two from now, but not day 1.
