Okay, so let me get this straight. This is where we currently stand, right?

- The roster in the leaked CSS is DEFINITELY NOT FINAL, as proven by the lock on the All-Star Mode icom
- Two people, both who have leaked legitimate photos/video/info, disagree on who the remaining/unseen characters are
- The original, ORIGINAL leaker (Motherfucking Leaker on 4chan) says there are five remaining characters: Mach Rider, Dixie, Ridley, Mewtwo, and Impa
- The other legit leaker (All-Star on Reddit) says there are just three remaining characters: Dixie, Mewtwo, and Chorus Kids
- A post from nearly a month ago on Smashboards (or is it GameFAQs? I don't know) that got a lot of the details we are seeing today for the first time claims there are four remaining characters: Ridley, Dixie, Mewtwo, and Chorus Men

That about right? Is that where we stand? Did I miss anything?

Yes, except the post from smashboards apparently had Ridley and some other things added to it somewhere? Or something?

The post (I'm not sure what forum it is) just copied the Smashboards vaanrose leak. It had multiple sources, one just stating Bowser Jr, DP, Doc, and DHD, with descripitions of them. Another post on /v/ around the same time mentioned the others. So, most people mix the various sources into one roster.

Ah, this clear up quite a bit. Well...I'm still holding out hope for Dixie/Ridley/Chorus Kids, just more realistically.

I could see that All Star's three characters plus DLC button if it's possible

I wonder if Nintendo could sue the ESRB, never mind if they wanted to, over this type of leak? If that is where it came from. I can only imagine how pissed Nintendo and Sakurai himself have to be over this.

The first point is incorrect. We've seen a lock on All Star mode, but nothing suggests that the ESRB video is taken with the same game state in the menu and CSS; that is, maybe the menu clip is from a point where all characters weren't unlocked, but the full CSS was included.

I don't really know who the original leaker is. I assume it was the people referenced in the Smashboards thread.

The leakers on Smashboards don't claim those. The person who made the Smashboards thread speculated that based on other (very possibly fake) leaks.

But yeah, the two legit (maybe) guys disagreeing on remaining roster sounds right. I'm still not sure about all-star. Is he confirmed to be the reddit guy? IIRC he posted like one menu pic as proof on 4chan.
 
I take it that Omega mode is the Final Destination version of the stages?

Also, that Falco fake is months old and the Chorus Men screen was admittedly fake if you read the 4chan thread. Any real leak is coming from ESRB captured footage.
 
It's pretty obvious that the image All-Star posted is not an actual leak. Look at the file name on the image.

That said, it makes you wonder why he posted it to begin with.

I didn't even use them. It's just sad knowing they most likely will not be returning. My mind keeps going back to the Melee intro, where Popo grabs Nana's hand and I begin tearing up. They were so happy.

I haven't been following the leaks as much as everyone else, but Ness isn't cut, right? Right?
