No one can say it's fake. We're just saying, you can't trust it as easily as something from the ESRB leak, since the ESRB leak is backed by actual video.
He's never really been a villain past Dream Land 1. He's selfish and greedy, but the only time he's been a villain was when he stole everyone's food. Every other time he's been possessed, framed, kidnapped, misguided but with noble intentions, or an ally.

I hope Duck Hunt Dog's final smash shows him holding the characters he KO's with it like he holds the ducks you shoot in Duck Hunt with the music jingle as well.

Um, if that pic isn't itself doctored, isn't this huge? I mean, it's 100% spot on with Bowser Jr, and mentions Ridley, who the new leaker seems to say is not in (except as a joke)...
I don't know what to believe anymore either. But I really hope the July leak is true, if for nothing else, for Ridley + Koopalings.
I can see it being similar to Snake and Zero Suit Samus's final smash where you have to shoot other players.

If ERSB only gets videos, why would the text at the bottom even exist?

Sakurai will show a newcomer trailer tomorrow and it'll be Monita, just to fuck with everyone.
The main tell is that it's an actual 3DS, while all other evidence of an actual leak has supposedly been from a video compiled for the ESRB.
It also has less unique elements; using basic 2D versions of the Chorus Men, along with otherwise known stages and characters.
Not for sure fake, but much less trustworthy as a confirmed leak.

The text version has indeed been around for a while. I remember speculating about it here long before any visuals from it showed up.
The video is believed to come from a highlight reel sent to the ESRB for review. That's why we are only seeing some of the stuff and not everything.
The idea isn't that he has a capture card, it's that most all of the footage is taken from a video captured from a 3DS by Nintendo and then sent to the ESRB.
What? No. The guy doesn't have the game, he has a video taken with a capture card by Nintendo sent to ESRB.

Pretty solid roster all things considered.
I support dlc only if its there to make the wii u version fell more new and is available on wii u day 1 and is on the disc for free. Connecting it to your 3ds will allow you access to characters for free, otherwise you buy the characters on the 3ds. best way of approaching dlc characters imo.

And Dr Mario being a separate character was one of the things that had me leaning 'fake'.

You say that, yet the only difference between Marth and Lucina is the sweet spot in their sword.
As soon as there's a gameplay difference, no matter how slight, it becomes its own character.
No, but I'd imagine they're livid. This is a huge breach of trust between Nintendo and the ESRB.
I doubt they care, much.
Really it's better this than any other of their games, especially as an supposed ESRB leak.

They've been sending out review codes for their games months in advance lately. It shouldn't be that surprising more leaks are happening.

We have a bunch of conflicting accounts that include some realistic parts.
Only believe the characters seen in the leaked screens for now.
ESRB don't get sent copies of games though, only trailers.
I just want a character deconfirmation from Sakurai tomorrow or some kind of new character reveal not leaked to prove this wrong. I just won't believe Dixie Kong is a character, what a horrible choice for one.
Avatar bet me then. I'll give you super good odds. You only need a week of avatar vs. 1 year for me. I'm not counting the Rhythm Heaven Dudes which are clearly fake.
I guess so. For RP reasons I could see Lucina being a separate character anyway. Doesn't really make sense as a "costume".
But Doc is literally Mario, no reason to be separate. Guess Sakurai and the team felt differently. The funny thing is I used to main Doc in melee for awhile, and I'll probably go back to playing him.
