My unlikely dream scenario is that the 3DS gets two DLC packs leading up to the release of the Wii U version. This allows Nintendo to maintain interest in the Wii U version by announcing new characters after the 3DS version is released.

Partners Pack (October) - Ice Climbers & Chorus Kids (with Rhythm Heaven stage)
Feral Beasts Pack (November) - Mewtwo & Wolf

That would complete the character select screen and stage select screen. All four characters would be included on the Wii U disc, of course.

Hmm, Did we have 5 free slots or what? I actually don't mind to see those dlc packs happening tho.

I think it's possible that turning customizations on will make the Mii Fighters tile pop up on the select screen.

I'm gonna be honest, I think my favorite detail is (unless my eyes deceive me) the Clown Car waddling along on its propellers. So cute! That's a character that seemed so stupid I completely discounted the leak when it first showed up... but man, from like ~30 seconds of gameplay I'm sold.

I -love- this detail.

Bowser Jr. in the Clown Car sounded believable to me since late July/early August, when I first heard of it in the Smashboards rumor. It just seemed like the "twist" that would strike Sakurai as fresh and interesting, justifying the character. And so I was inclined to believe it, although I struggled to imagine how they'd make a flying machine work in Smash Bros. Would it hover off the ground? Would it sprout wheels? Would it have legs like the mechs in Yoshi Safari? Would it be capable of limited flight, like Charizard?

Turns out it was none of the above. Sakurai took the propeller blades that I always assumed were solid, and made them contort like flippers, allowing the Clown Car to waddle around on the ground. It's brilliant! Although I wonder if Sakurai will feel the need to say something like, "Bowser Jr. may be a jerk, but he decided to play fair by fighting on the ground for Smash Bros."

Finally up to speed on all the insanity from the past 48 hours. (Seriously, it's freaking crazy we have filled up an entire thread this fast)

I like many if you feel for Sakurai, must suck a lot of the wind out of your sails to have a leak of this magnitude and by a NOA employee of all people.

Second, I LOVE the newcomers that we got for this game; especially since there is a possibility there may be a few others. Sakurai seriously spoiled us with this game and I have no doubt this will be my favorite game of all time.

Last but not least, I'm not too proud to admit I was wrong in thinking the leaks were fake so.... Anyone got any good recipes for crow?

I do feel bad for Sakurai too. Hopefully he's not too bothered by what has been revealed and just keep up with his surprises of his own.

The roster, regardless of who Sakurai puts in, has always been very interesting ever since. I'm not really bothered by "clones" and such, so I always roll with what Sakurai planned to put in.

And lastly, we still have yet to see the Duck Hunt Dog and the other leaked characters in action. I'll still be a proud #TeamFake member.

Yeah, but he it seems like he loves revealing stuff with those videos and trolling everyone. Sucks that pretty much everything is out there now. He probably had some a couple last reveals before launch, and now that's sort of ruined. So, in that regard, yeah, someone always leaks the roster before release.

Couldn't be happier with how it all shook out though.

Nobody responded to this, as best as I could tell (admittedly I was skimming the thread REALLY quickly), but yeah, it's totally still Adam Howden. New voice clips, going by the differing intonation, but the wording is familiar. Compare for yourself.

So what kind of Xenoblade enemies do people expect in Smash Run?

I think there will be a Mechon Hunter unit, a gargoyle-variety enemy, and a Gogol as a boss type.

Who's gonna give a damn about a minor character, unremarkable in appearance and in a series with no real main characters.
