Oh most definitely, she would have made an easy clone. With that trophy though, probably not happening.
We know about the Koopalings being alts of Bowser Jr. There's no reason to think she's an alt. If you want to assume every single trophy is an alt of another character, be my guess. Why can't she be a Falco alt instead? Or a ZSS alt? Or a Shulk alt?

Just super happy I got on #TeamReal when we first started calling it. This one was in the bag, the definite wording people here used on #teamfake made for some great reading.

I edited my post to say alt :v Krystal doesn't seem especially difficult to make work as an alt, they're the same species and have a similar body shape.

Judging from the quality of the other Amiibo figures, they aren't afraid to nail attention to detail. Especially if they're going to be selling these things for $15 a pop (speculation)

Playable characters get trophies too... that said, their text usually alludes to some of their in-game abilities (see wario's trophy text for an example) and Krystal's doesn't seem to do that soooo...
Fun thoughts for the day:
* Tharja Trophy is holding a tome similar to Robin's
* We haven't seen Robin's alts/colours yet
* We didn't get to read Tharja's text either

For starters, looking at the moveset the playable character is more the clown car itself rather than Junior (much like Tron Bonne's mecha in MvC3), so changing the pilot doesn't interfere with the concept, while Crystal should all about her staff rather than copying Fox's equipment
So explain how you find Krystal as a Fox alt more ridiculous than Koopalings being alts of Bowser Jr.

How do you feel Smash 4 did with it's newcomer selection? I made this picture so you try and think of the newcomers as a whole, not just the ones leaked.
Me personally? A few missed opportunities aside, fucking stoked. 15 new fighters is nothing to scoff regardless of clones, and you could even bump that number to 17 if you count the Mii Fighter as 3 different characters.

The last time I seriously sat down and made a Smash 4 Roster, I had Little Mac, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Shulk, Dark Pit, and Miis on it, so, hey, I'm happy. Only sore points are no Takamaru, Genesect, and K. Rool.
I guess it'll depend on whether the new Smash controllers are quality, because my real GCN controllers are a bit rough now, despite my best efforts to maintain them.
Honestly, though, I think the GamePad and Pro Controllers will work great. I mean, in Brawl I often made do with the Wiimote and Nunchuk combo, just so my siblings and friends could use the familiar Wavebirds.

The only characters I'm miffed about are probably Lucina (whom I hope gets a Roy alt) and Dark Pit. Beyond that, I think the newcomer selection is pretty good overall, including Dr. Mario coming back.
I'm mostly disappointed at the lack of Donkey Kong and Metroid representation on the roster - Fire Emblem is a much smaller series than either and has the same amount of characters as both DK and Metroid combined. :/
Honestly, the worst thing is the cockteasing Sakurai has been doing about Ridley. If Ridley just wasn't in the game and Sakurai would've outright shown him being on Pyrosphere as a boss (like he's deconfirmed every other character outright when first shown in a trailer or PotD), I wouldn't even have been as annoyed, but it was this constant cockteasing and building up to him maybe being in but leading to ultimate disappointment that's upsetting me the most.

I think I've asked this, but assuming Ninka is real, what is confirmed from it that isn't confirmed directly by the ESRB leak?
Hopefully a little cheaper... 15 is like DI prices and that has the Disney tax.

I don't think I'd want Krystal as a Fox alt, though. The point is to get a Star Fox character that plays significantly differently from the current trio of Blaster/Reflector/Fire Fox/Illusion/LAAAANDMASTAH~!

Did Wario's classic alt ever get a trophy in Brawl? If not I don't think there's really a precedent to go off whether alts will just have collectible trophies or if you'll have to do something specific with the character they're tied to.
Plus why else would Larry be in Bowser Jr.'s clown car when he's never been in it in any actual Mario games?

DK, yes, that's true, based mostly on the back of Returns' great sales (and, really, all the playable characters from Returns are playable in Smash). Metroid? Nooo. It is definitely not bigger than Fire Emblem, especially in a modern context.
and Duck Hunt Dog Amiibo.
I bet some of these less mainstream amiibos are going to be worth $$$$$$ in five or ten years.
Same with Igglybuff though it would need to be bigger.
All seven characters with amiibo plus robot models for Egil's and Metal Face would be cool too.

And I don't think it's certain at all, but a slight possibility like I also see potential of a Daisy alt right now instead of the usual pallet swap, it may not happen but it's not impossible.
