Xenoblade has like 2 games worth of content in it. It takes 60 hours to beat the game the main quest alone, and their are around 20 big locations.

This is the main reason I haven't played Xenoblade, besides the ugly character design. Long-sprawling JRPGs are just something I cannot commit anymore. Maybe if it were on a handheld...

I'm pretty damn happy.

We've got Punch-Out, Animal Crossing and Wii ___ represented which were the biggest gaps in represented IPs.

Most of the best Nintendo games of recent years are shown off with Rosalina representing Galaxy, Shulk representing Xenoblade, Palutena and Dark Pit representing Uprising, and Robin and Lucina representing Awakening. Just missing Skyward Sword, DKCR and Rhythm Heaven reps (Impa, Dixie Kong and Chorus Kids please be real!).

Mega Man and Pac Man represent third parties much better than Sonic and Snake imo. They're a big part of Nintendo (more so Mega Man), rather than the Sega and Playstation icons we got in Brawl.

Then Greninja is one of the best designed Pokemon ever, and Duck Hunt Dog is an awesome new retro rep.

Bowser Jr is the only real odd choice, there doesn't seem to be a good reason for him to be in other than Sakurai having a good idea for how he plays, which works for me, the Clown Car moveset looks incredibly fun.

Would have loved to see Paper Mario and Ganon

As has been pointed out before, it's highly unlikely SSE was cut merely (or even mainly) because the videos were posted to YouTube. SSE took up a lot of time and resources and it was never well-received. The feeling that it was more trouble than it was worth was probably a bigger reason not to do it again than internet spoilers were.

We live in a world where leaks are inevitable, so why not let everyone enjoy the reveals together prior to launch? You don't really need to beat the game to enjoy your time with it. If you wanted to quit thirty hours in (for whatever reason), you still would have experienced some great battles, incredible music, memorable catch phrases, and the best locations of any game ever made. If he has the staff then that means he should be able to walk while charging the staff and if smash allows it then he could also jump around with it.I doubt that he has bow like stance and that will probably allow him for greater mobility with his projectile.

I played Xenoblade earlier this year, and while it was an amazing game, I really had to force myself to finish it. It took me over 3 months because it's just way too long with the limited amount of time I have these days. It also doesn't help that it pretty much monopolized my gaming time, which mean my other games fell by the side. In the end, while I loved the hell out of the game, I'm seriously never playing a 60+ hour game ever again in my life.

Nope.

Don't own a Starfox game (though I've beaten 64), an F-Zero game (unless you count the GBA ambassador one I played for like 15 mins), a Mother game (PAL land, so only option is Wii U VC anyway lol), any of the retro ones (Ice Climbers, G&W, ROB, Duck Hunt), and no Sonic or Pac-Man.

Yeah I understand that and he is deserving, but I mean there's already so many Mario reps, as well as a Mario newcomer already with Rosalina.

But I guess Mario is massive, and is practically series' within a series, so Rosalina sort of represents the Galaxy series whereas Bowser Jr is representing the NSMB series which is cool.

I rationalize Bowser Jr. as the 'New Super Mario Bros' newcomer and Rosalina as the 'Mario Galaxy / 3D World' newcomer. Who else from the Mario series has had the amount of exposure these two have had since Brawl? Makes it feel more appropriate to me.

-Last Story apparently did better in Japan than Xenoblade (no surprise though)
-Xenoblade did better in NA and in EU than in JP

When you look at Final Fantasy, generally the sales are much higher in Japan than other territories.
