Dark Pit's existence is basically a big meta joke on the whole dark clone of the protagonist trope, along the lines of Nega-Scott from Scott Pilgrim. Be glad its him, an original character with his own personality and traits, and not something like Dark Link getting hus own slot. Plus I'm really happy he will most likely have his own voice acting.

I would have rather had Dark Samus than have to suffer through more Sakurai bias

Still can't tell you how annoyed I am that even the DK series didn't get a newcomer considering how much more popular it's become and how many characters it has, fucking ridiculous.

Atleast with Metroid people can use the "B-but the franchise is dead and was never super popular!" excuse.

PALUTENAGATE CONTINUES

Vaanrose (one of the original leakers of the ONE TRUE LEAK), said that MFL did NOT create the fake Palutena image, and that his friend did. The Palutena faker gave them to MFL in order to try to encourage him to share more info about his source.

Well I assume that's that unless #TeamReal wants to play the part of the scrutiniser.

Told you all to trust the clouds.

Hell yes.
I didn't support Operation Rainfall.

I don't remember: in Uprising, did Pit and Dark Pit have different voices?

This sounds cheesy, but this video made me appreciate Shulk being in the game a lot more. I've had zero interest in Xenoblade but that title screen is wonderful.
It's one of the best title screens ever; Yoko Shimomura knows how to set a mood.

(Sakurai infiltrates Pokemon™ Headquarters and forces them to announce Great Detective Pikachu instead of Pokken, so he can piss us off in any way that he possibly can)
Haha, I wouldn't put it past him.

Shulk: Great to see xenoblade representation. He'll be bringing his music to the game, and I can't argue with that!

Bowser Jr.: He was one of my least favorite choices during speculation, but now that I've seen him in action, I'm actually totally fine with it.

Duck Hunt Dog: ughhhhhhhnhhhhhhhhhh. Fine, whatever.

Dark Pit/Dr. Mario: I don't have anything against clones. No real hype either, though.

Dark Pit being in means he can join the glorious Pit/Palutena/Viridi/Hades hidden conversation that are waiting for us. I can't wait for the major wall breaking that's going to bring.

Things in games that are actually lazy:

- Known-Shippables; Bugs that they know about but don't have the time or want to expend the effort to fix. As consumers, we will almost never know about these.

- Junk data that is easily found and not removed. This has almost no effect on you as a consumer.

Things in games that aren't lazy but people attribute to laziness:

- Budget limits
- Limits within hardware
- Things developers make to add content to the game but isn't as fully-fleshed as everything else in the game.

Things crazy people attribute to laziness:

- Anything they don't like.

This is all true and I don't think the roster is lazy, but there are design decisions developers can make that are actually lazy that affect us as consumers and the quality of the product they put out. Like, for example, a developer could deliberately cut levels short and heavily reuse assets, not out of time or hardware restrictions but simply because they don't feel like going the extra mile to not do so. I'm sure most quality developers are far more frequently hampered by the former (hardware/time/budget limitations) than that, but I would be surprised if the latter never happens at all in within any development team.

My eyes glaze over whenever I read the latest shenanigans involving Smash mods. I have no idea what the heck is going on with them and their manufactured leaks to sort out fake leaks and lure out real leaks so the real leaks can be modified into fake leaks to barter for more real leaks or something.

Too many twists in this pretzel.

not to seem demanding or picky since at this point the roster feels good and complete even without Ridley...but i think bowser jr should be able to fight without his chopper-clown thingy which would then turn him into a semi bowser clone (faster, no special grab moves Bowser has, just melee) and Bowser should be able to fight with his own freak clown machine, make him a real heavy projectile terror.

Alright guys, obviously anything could change, but if this is indeed our final list of newcomers:

How do you feel Smash 4 did with it's newcomer selection? I made this picture so you try and think of the newcomers as a whole, not just the ones leaked.

Me personally? A few missed opportunities aside, fucking stoked. 15 new fighters is nothing to scoff regardless of clones, and you could even bump that number to 17 if you count the Mii Fighter as 3 different characters.

Well imo this is the worst newcomer list in SSB. Shulk from the Borefest game (Really... that game is tedious as hell and i cant understand how people like MMO missions in a damn singleplayer RPG game), Dark Pit (For fucks sake), Double Fire Emblem (Metroid has exactly 2 characters...wich are are the same, as well as DK. And F-Zero has only ONE character. Fire Emblem has now 4, 3 of them have a sword.). The rest is understandable and cool. 4 lame characters instead of Veterans or characters people wanted (Ridley?).

And Ganondorf will probably have the same moveset as Captain Falgon... AGAIN.

What if Sakurai released all the info regarding Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U, but cancelled the games? Only for them to release randomly onto the internet one day like StarFox 2. D :

WE JAMMED ALL NIGHT!
I politely talked to him as we waited in line to check out. He seemed down to earth and really funny. :)
When I was at Cedar Point yesterday (beautiful day, light crowds, short wait times, SO GOOD), I was wondering how some pro basketball players would fit on the rides. I'm slender and rather tall at 6'2", and I felt super-restrained in all of the rides, so I wonder how these hulked-out b-ball players who are a foot taller would fare. Like, I can't picture Shaq sitting in the Millennium Force. They'd need to remove the seat next to him like that one part in Commando where Arnold makes the black girl follow Sully.

So I guess I'm the only one filled with joy that the Doc is back!
This is entirely depends on whether his black costume is back. At the moment I'm just "eh, that;s pretty cool".

What if Smash Bros development involved more people than just Sakurai?
