That's a good point. Though this might sound silly, I think keeping veterans a secret has its benefits, regardless if the character is a given or not. I think the excitement of seeing a veteran officially being in Smash Bros again is a pretty nice feeling. I had no doubt Wario and Captain Falcon were coming back, but seeing them confirmed was pretty nice, especially with how long I waited for it. This is gonna sound cheesy as all hell right now but it just makes you feel like saying "welcome back!". Hope I'm making sense with this, but I feel that had we known the veteran roster in advance the anticipation wouldn't be as great. Is knowing which veteran characters will make it in from the outset such a bad thing? Most speculation for veterans seems to be along the lines of wondering if they received a visual upgrade, if they were buffed or nerfed, if they have any interesting new moves or costumes. The possibility they might not make it in at all is just a sour undertone most people would be happy to do without.
Most marketing is centred around newcomers regardless, so little would have to change if they adopted such a policy.
At this rate we should just hand Smash Bros to Platinum so that they can actually work with every Nintendo franchise like some people want them to.
Would be interesting to see Smash Bros done with a completely new eye.
Ooohhh so that's that one alt everyone was talking about a couple of days ago.maybe...maybe not.

Yeah, that's pretty amazing and hilarious. It's basically Meta Knight without his armor, just his faceplate.
I...don't get the title.

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Two new downloadable content packs will take the world of Mario Kart 8 in directions the franchise has never seen before, while significantly expanding game-play options. The packs, which launch this fall and in spring of 2015, and are available for advance purchase starting Aug. 27 at $7.99 each (or $11.99 for both), deliver a ton of new content, including first-time crossover characters like Link from The Legend of Zelda franchise and both Isabelle and the Villager from the Animal Crossing series.
Metal Gear espionage pack includes Snake, 2 stages, and 5 songs. $8.So if the MK8 DLC pricing is how Nintendo is going to handle their DLC business, Smash fans are in for a treat

Hahahaha this was good.![]()
Not sure who made this image but I noticed something. The CSS box says "Random." In Brawl if you chose random didn't it instantly choose a character? Or did it wait until the match started? I can't remember.
I am wondering...if maybe the Random box disappears in order to make room for a new character? at some point and clicking on the CSS box chooses a random character again.
Yeah, if this is indicative of what we have in store for Smash DLC, bring it on.

Can't wait to play as Pink Gold Peach for $8.Yeah, if this is indicative of what we have in store for Smash DLC, bring it on.
Really don't get why they don't just show Mr. Game & Watch on the website already.
What?.. That's the greatest Kirby alt imaginable! It's a representation of Sakurai's ability to masterfully troll, even his own creations =p
Things are pretty slow now..
We need a PotD with info that was not leaked Sakurai
"Buy both versions of Smash Bros. get all DLC free"
Watch that happen.
2 GB...
I'm not gonna have enough room for it and Smash DLC. :0
Or even better, a Direct announcement.

I've been using an external hd since the Wii U launched.
It's a given at this point that Nintendo isn't going to announce or reveal all of the characters on the roster prior to release - there just isn't enough time left.
They've got 8 weekdays left to do something before the floodgates open and everything is officially leaked from people who got the game early.
We should make a tally of everyone who believes and disbelieves in the following:
Chorus Kids
Ridley
Mewtwo
Dixie Kong
