I can agree with this too. More characters to me isn't always better, unless they are done justice.
Meanwhile, Sakurai states that his main is Ganondorf

I really wish we got Dark Samus instead of Dark Pit :c
Don't worry, at least Dark Samus will get a proper moveset when she's introduced as a playable character in Smash 9. Meanwhile, Ganondorf will stay Captain Ganon until the end of days.

Yeah, Lucas was in my rotation of 3 mains, so seeing him cut would be a big bummer. Good thing we got Ness to help!

...it's just not the same, and you know it. Even if Ness was a bit more like Lucas, it's not the same.

...on that note, my top 3 more recent mains are all gone. Pokemon Trainer (where I used Charizard the least), Lucas and Ice Climbers.

I'm just going to main Mario, and if he's cut in the next Smash know that Sakurai is out to get me for reasons unknown.

So, how're you feeling about Duck Hunt Dog? :D

Like most with things, the realization that it's real sets in and the hate just becomes mild indifference.

I can't be mad about something being added. In a perfect world, he'd be Issac and Dr. Mario would be lucas. I'm not giving up all hope though.

Maybe Captain Falcon is actually a Ganondorf clone

After all, Sakurai is not bound by the linear passage of time, as his reverse aging shows

Something I find really odd is the lack of Rosalina's Observatory in the background of the Galaxy stage. Seems like it'd be a no brainer considering it's a playable character's mothership (pun kind of intended). For awhile I thought it'd be it's own stage, but not anymore. I think an observatory stage that tours the galaxies would've been awesome.

Sorry for your loses. :(

Mario's is in fact my main and, the best part about that is knowing he'll always show up for the party. I feel like that's a big part of Smash that I don't really get to participate in; I'm just never worried about my main getting cut. Still sucks to see others' get cut, though.

Nah, the split timeline started with the virtual boy. In our timeline, it failed. In the other timeline...

All-Hail-The-Virtual-Boy.gif

So we all became miis?

You want to play a town in France? Or are you referring to the International Symposium on Symbolic and Algebraic Computation? Why would that replace the Duck Hunt dog?

Why exactly do people seem to have the impression that Sakurai features Smash Run in the pic of the day too often? The pic of the day has been Smash Run related exactly two times in the last two months... That's hardly a lot.

Didn't he show it off twice at E3 or something? I imagine that's where it originates from.

It's another split timeline.

In one timeline, the handsome hero succeeds and becomes a famous race car driver.

In the other, the hero fails and falls into despair. His studly physique crumbles and he becomes barely able to even run.

So we all became miis?
Of course, we're all stuck in virtual reality.

My avatar now has John Stamos hair

Without the bloom, it's a bit of a harsh imposition on reality, but then again I figure actual John Stamos hair would be the same way, so magnificent is its splendor

For some people, stuff they don't care about = filler, and filler = smash run.....

Transitive property applies!

Cutting Ice Climbers for more clones is the worst kind of betrayal.
Not sure what you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it.

If tonight's pic of the day shows an insulting, worthless menu that we've already seen, then Sakurai will bring shame to his family for generations.

So does everyone lose their boots in one timeline
And in one is everyone shirtless/swimwear, or at least just Wario (given SmashGAF's strange obsession with both)

LMAO every time I see that quote...

Who cares, he'll live longer than everyone else in his family, even his descendants
