Maybe something to note about Unlockable characters, in these menu leaks we can see Sonic, Pac-Man, Luigi, Captain Falcon, Toon Link, Lucario and maybe some others show up in button "icons."
I know Brawl had Sonic and Snake on the Box and they were Unlockables but I don't remember them being spoiled ingame? So potentially this time around Sonic, Lucario, Toon LInk, Luigi, etc are starters.

Sure, if you count DK's entire 30 year history. But if you compare since 2002 (Metroid Fusion/Prime) things are a lot different. For the most part it's been a few poor selling spin-offs, and in fact the best selling DK games outside of Returns were the GBA re-releases of the original DKC games. DK's a more storied IP that Nintendo owes a lot to, and it was once pretty massive, but if we're talking modern times it's really not a major IP franchise anymore. Returns sold a shit-ton, sure, more than the Prime games combined, but given TF's sales it's almost certainly an anomaly rather than a return to form.

That Green Greens Ver. 2 giving me a vague Fountain of Dreams vibe.
I like it but I won't lie and say some parts go on and on and on.
It is kind of strange, that there are still no information of three already shown modes: the whipping tops mini-game, the falling blocks mini-game and multi-team-battle.
Also today's announcement of the Mario Kart 8 DLC give me new hope of the Ice Climbers returning as DLC (outside the fake DLC rumor).

Well we're not talking about technicalities. We all can agree that there is nothing of value in locking away, say, a Mario tune from use in stages. To make it unavailable is to arbitrarily lock content away that would only make the game better.

Man, PotD night not as fun or crazy anymore it seems. How disappointing. It was fun watching some of you guys go crazy like that one time where Emcee had to lock the thread becuz you guys were losing it. I think it was before the music PotD.
