I have to keep the Rhythm Heaven character dream alive...
though I mean I also tried to keep the Snake dream alive and we see where that got me.
Even if they're not in the base game, having a Smash Run enemy makes me confident a character was planned and is a likely DLC candidate...

We can assume that but unless Sakurai or some who worked on the game straight up says so, there's no way to know for certain. It would just be conjecture. IF Ice Climbers are cut though, I assume Sakurai will address it.

I do anticipate Nintendo will pull an MK8 and introduce DLC for Smash that will fill out the rest of the screen (and make Nintendo a nice profit).

The solution s pretty obvious. Have a mandatory patch the day the DLC releases to add the characters into the game, and you pay to download an unlock key. This way people who don't buy the characters can still play online with the people that do. I'm pretty sure this is what the Capcom fighters do regarding DLC, isn't it?

Deny. People are looking for a scapegoat to blame for IC's being (possibly) cut, and the 3DS is perfect for filling this role.
IMO, it's more plausible that the IC was a low priority character, which ended up cut due to time constraints.

Nowdays, yes it is. Back in SF4 you couldn't play with someone with DLC, you had to choose either you play with people who has the DLC either you dont.
Since Nintendo live in the dark ages of internet....
And the Mario Kart update(Mercedez) wasnt mandatory so that worries me

Yeah and 6 Gen 1 pokemon is overkill. Anyway, I say the roster and stage select is missing just a little bit of content. I feel they could've made a roster select screen that didnt have random blank spaces or could've come up with a more aesthetically pleasing css.

I wish the clone corner didn't exist. Dark pit's pose facing the opposite direction of pit would look so great if it were Pit - Palutena - Dark pit.
