PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | August 2014

Have they said that? Because Natural Doctrine sold terribly as well and they're bringing that over

NISA is picking what to localized is what I'm thinking. They also had a good looking VN about aliens and stuff that also happens to be their 20th anniversary game but they didn't localized it.

Maybe they are allergic to their own VNs
RIP Great Edo Blacksmith if so.

Well Great Edo Blacksmith seems to be mainly a Dungeon Crawler with VN elements and considering that Demon Gaze did well (?) the chances may be not that low.

My Vita is ready for DanganRonpa 1 and 2.
Also bought Alpha Protocol because Tapejara recommended it

Top of the page. Danganronpa, Danganronpa 2 next Tuesday, Soul Sacrifice Delta

Edit: FlutterPuffs beat me to the top of the page. He didn't even recommend anything either. smh

Oh, this is what you were telling me about last night. Nice.

I know I shouldn't let it get to me but all the negative YouTube and PlayStation blog about these new indie announcements is infuriating! Do these people not release that without these games there would be large gaps of literally nothing for the release schedule?

Oh hell yeah! Played the shit out of this round a friends house. Has it been confirmed if you can do multiplayer with one player on PS4 and the other on Vita? Don't have a second DS4.

You should be able to use the Vita as a second controller via remote play. I use this method to play Towerfall: Ascension with my roommate.
If you were asking about online
PS Vita is a great way to play Nidhogg. You can play in single-player mode against the AI opponents, of course, but you can also connect to PSN over wi-fi and play against all the other players out there, whether they’re on a Vita or PS4. The PS4 version works online as well, and you can even play online across systems (Vita vs PS4!).

I'm locked out of my games because my PS4 can't connect to the server to verify the license.

The fuck? I'm signed in and internet is working fine, except renewing the licenses throws up error codes. It's my primary PS4 as well.

Is this related to the maintenance somehow? Because it sucks.

WAIT WHAT?!

How? Remoteplay takes over the DS4. How do you set it up so the DS4 can act as a secod controller instead of taking control of player 1 back?

Hooray for Nidhogg, but every PlayStation blog post reminds me of the Fieldrunners 2 announcement last June in 2013!

I've been awaiting it's release on Vita... seemingly to no avail.

After your Vita has taken control of player 1 via remote play you have to turn on the DS4 again. You will be asked which user is using the DS4 and then you have to choose another PSN account (not the one you are remote playing with) on your PS4 and the DS4 will register as Player 2 ;).

Yeah the amount of indie hate on the PS Blog is ridiculous. "I didn't buy a PS4 to play games with ATARI 2600 graphics" has become a running joke in my circle of friends.

I love how people act like these indie releases are somehow preventing AAA titles from being released.

Does it work if you pick guest?

ALSO YOU'RE A FUCKING LIFE SAVER! I CAN FINALLY PLAY TOWERFALL MULTIPLAYER!

Part of me is considering picking up Hyperdimension Neptunia PP while it's on sale for comedy value, is it really that bad? I need some "booby" games to show the missus for a laugh.

Or should I just go the whole hog and get Monster Monpiece? But that's not on sale, so it's a bit of an expensive joke.

Alot of game announcements so far today

PS4:
Dust: An Elysian Tail

PS4/Vita:
Alone With You Coming
Salt and Sanctuary

Vita:
Nidhogg
Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer

What's going on with Metrico? I don't like that game. I mean, I just feel... nothing. No fun, no frustration, no challenge. I just go through the puzzles with almost zero interest in what's going on with the game.

Not really feeling that thing. Is the game short? I may try to finish it just for the sake of finishing it if it's not too long.

I deleted it, unfortunately. The aesthetic left me cold.. it didn't grab me.

Shoot. Forgot my current PS4 was not my primary one and maintenance has already started. Am I locked out of my digital content for the next 6 hours or is there a way to fix this at the moment?

Most of them don't even own a Vita or played any indie-game.

Assassins creed got delayed due to Nidhogg coming out and the witcher 3 is now coming out in 2015 because dust needed some space to release.
sadly i feel someone is thinking like that right now :(

Saw the trailers for Alone with You and Salt & Sanctuary....both look awesome :D! I really love the look and vibe of the latter though; dark visuals with what looks like different playable classes and what looks like Dark Souls-esc combat (could be wrong here...) makes this look amazing. That trailer music though....really awesome too :).

Alone with You looks very interesting; having to make your own group within one month....alongside having to repare/form relationships with your newly revived crew, sounds very interesting. Kinda like a darker Persona game XD! Except that when you are a prick/mean in the S. Link-esc dialogs nothing happens, stuff does happen here (like they will not do a great job fixing the ship or do nothing at all).

Saw Nidhogg gameplay via GameGrumps a while back and it seems to be a utter blast with friends :D. Hope they get online play working with that on Vita :).

Some damn good announcements today I must say :). Love Sony really branching out and getting some of these games out on there platforms. Them also continuing Pub-Fund with Salt & Sanctuary and Alone with You like they did with Rain and Guacamelee is really great too :D. Shows that the system works well for both parties :).

Is PSN down for matience?

Sony did say they moved the Matience day from yesterday to today, largely due to the major DDOS attack from those Lizzard guys (not to mention them wanting people to use the PSN Store's Update yesterday).

It isn't a attack or anything, just matience from what Sony said :).

They said it will end....I think at 4 something today (I live in NY so I really don't know the difference between Time Zones).

Sorry if this makes no sense :(.

I'm still convinced all the screens Namco Bandai has released have been bullshots. There's no way the Vita can achieve that kind of IQ.That said, still one of my most anticipated games for next year.

New character looks great, very happy about Yasuda Suzuhito becoming associated with the franchise.

It is a Vita exclusive, right? We saw how Vita exclusive can really push the hardware (Killzone looked amazing :D, as did Tearaway (that game has some of the clearest IQ I've seen on Vita so far :)), so it wouldn't be a shock if this game pushes the system like those games did :).

Besides, I'm sure Sony is helping them out with this (no way they would make the game a Vita exclusive for the hell of it; it may do well in JP but not so well in NA and EU. They either can't see the game running on 3DS/Mobile or figure that the control set-up for the game would be best on Vita. Same deal with SAO:HF; either the game couldn't run on 3DS/Mobile or figured it would be the best for the platform), so I guess Sony's money might be a big reason why this game looks so good right now :).

I'm not sure about this but SAO is just upconverted from PSP and vita makes perfect sense....because its anime, and has moe penetrations.
