As for Gaur Plains, looks very cool if it stays that slow with its scrolling. It makes sense a game with as big an open world as Xenoblade would get a scrolling stage.

When they were talking about new 3DS they showed MH4, FF Explorers, and DQX along with Smash Bros. I think they were talking about games that used it.

Sounds to me like the 'new 3DS' was created to address concerns that cropped up since the miiverse update, since the old 3DS was super slow, OS level.

Since they were redesigning the 3DS anyway, they added requested features, like a built in 2nd circle pad, and then added in the nfc/amiibo thing .
