It's an auto-brightness feature.

The new 3DS has auto brightness? I had no idea what they were talking about during that part of the direct. All I knew was the screens was darker and stuff. That's pretty cool.

See, in the WFT trailer, she is chatty, what with giving exercising tips and stuff. I was dumbfounded when in the demo vids at E3, she doesn't give out exercising tips but instead just grunts and such (although we get the amazing SALUTE THE SUN!). I was wondering (and fearing) that they cut her chatty self.

That trailer gave me hope that she is back to her chatty self... but then I worry if the English version will lack that.

The E3 demo was missing a lot of stuff like that. No Alfonzo, stages were totally barren in general, some effects seemed to be missing. It's either disabled in situations where there's wireless communication or just wasn't enabled on that build.

I just thought something. Smash is having a huge marketing campaign right now, however it's mostly for the 3DS, as that is launching first. How are they going to keep the hype high for the Wii U version? Probably by continuing with the PotD and then... what? All the game content will be already spoiled from September onwards.

Seeing what they're doing with Mario Kart, I can't shake the feeling they're going to send out some free updates and free DLC. So what I think is that the leaked roster could be the final one, but 5 more characters could be revealed after the 3DS version comes out, included in the Wii U version and given as free DLC to 3DS users.

You know, I hope that's the case, because even as a "Man, the Wii U version of this game is going to be the best version", I'm kind of losing hype steam for it.

It's turning into a "Oh, that game. I guess I'll pick it up when it comes out."

Yeah that was noticed pretty early on if I recall correctly.

Depends on how much time and money you have. Xenoblade is a great game, but it can be a huge time sink and (now that I know its an option) I probably would've preferred a handheld version just so I could play while on the go or multitasking.

Also, I was almost ready to sort of believe in Ridley DLC, but that Metal Face tease brought me back to reality. Sure, we didn't get a mysterious voice shrieking "Kill as much as you want! Have fun!" in the Smash Direct, but it seems like the shadow thing is now a standard portrayal for stage bosses. It's a shame, but I was a fool to expect more.

I prefer the game on a console because you can really appreciate the vast landscape on a bigger tv and speakers. Though I guess you can still have fun with the handheld version.

I can't see it now coming to the US after the ruckus we caused last time over it.
Plus if it's a New 3DS Exclusive you want something showing that off.

Oh yikes! Maybe we jumped the gun on assuming there were five we weren't aware of, leaks included.

This is pretty big, I don't think this will be the starting roster either. Sakurai has proven it can shrink and grow through all the demos and screeenshots we've seen, so to be honest, I don't know what to think anymore. I'll take the realistic route and assume beyond what we've seen from the leak, there are no more characters.

Same here haha but I'd really like to see how cloney of a clone Dark Pit is, so that's gonna be the first unlock I go for. Plus Jiggs to see if she has any changes or Fairy custom moves.

Well if they don't then there'll be no surprises for the WiiU version, it being the better version isn't exactly a surprise, that's just a given thing.

Hiding a small number of characters would give people something to talk about during the time before the WiiU rather than us already knowing everything that's worth knowing about the game.

Yep. Shulk's the same pretty much, Nintendo removed those videos, Shulk's render is 100% the same, the stages are accurate and so forth, as well as the CSS change and the customisation options.

So yes, legit!

By the way Lucina confirmed unlockable. She's not on the roster. Neither is Mii Fighter, but that's a completely different situation, customization could be turned off.
