Shulk was one of these games' worst kept secrets even before the ESRB leak, so at least for me I don't think it would've made that much of a difference, honestly.

To be fair, they weren't trying to be even a little coy with the trailer. It opened up immediately onto Gaur Plains so there was no question who it might be. If they had gone for more of a fakeout like MegaMan or Rosaluma, you might be right.

Well, it would be tough for him to getting involved with discussions if we are going to talk about leaks. From what I heard that they had people signed that they can't really discuss about leaks as well. I could be wrong.

I think people should stop asking him for information and treat him like one of us, aka SmashGAF family. Not a fucking reporter or informer.

That makes absolutely no sense. If Ridley is a stage hazard, it has basically already been said without saying it. Leaving it ambiguous all this time, while building fan expectations, is a horrible way to treat fans and promote your game. I still 100% believe Ridley is in along with a Zelda newcomer. It might not happen until the Wii U version, though. I could see Sakurai saving some juice for the second release.

We've technically seen another potential stage boss teased and I suspect there will not be any word soon about it and we've also had the issue of Dark Pit unaddressed all this time The Ridley problem really isn't unique and, dare I say, Ridley fans are not the unique snowflakes suffering under the tyranny of Sakurai like some seem to make it out to be.

I think Metal Face being teased with a shadow was a direct reference to people freaking out about the Ridley shadow. Whether it actually means anything in regards to Ridley as a boss obviously can't be known, but I do think that Sakurai was trying to poke fun with the Metal Face shadow.

Shulk isn't British made. Saying Shulk is British representation along side Donkey Kong and Diddy is like saying that the majority of the cast is American.

Yeah. I know Smash requires a lot of localization but it does really suck. I wish they thought a worldwide release was as important as that or Pokemon.

I just don't think that sneaky spirit, out of THE ENTIRE NINTENDO LINEUP, is one of two unrepped series with enemies in smash run (the other being from a previous veteran) can be a coincidence.

I agree that the Sneaky Spirits implies something more for the Rhythm Tengoku series, even if just a stage, since they feel like a forced addition. RT isn't really known for it's baddies, just naughty characters, but all they do is indicate you've missed a beat. In terms of harm to the player they are on the same level as an un-plucked onion hair. Basically if you were after classic Nintendo enemies it really wouldn't be a series to go for unless you had a reason to. Thus the question is, what is that reason?

I am, but I don't know how much I'll use them for their intended purpose.

I'm actually mostly curious about Wario's and Bowser Jr's unlock methods. I imagine Wario is probably one of the first.

It's odd that Luigi seems to have been promoted to starting character. When he was revealed it was implied he was an exception and he'd still be a hidden character.

Short CG trailers, especially ones that aren't super detailed and don't feature a lot of areas or new models actually don't take a whole lot of time to make. Also the ending could have easily been added later in the trailer's development anyways, it was just a few seconds of the same area in the rest of the CG with Shulk doing a short animation and a shadow going over him.

You're really veering into conspiracy theory territory there. It's incredibly unlikely that Ridley has anything to do with Shulk's trailer whatsoever.
