Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 14: Snake... had a hard life

Are we seriously discussing bad stages without even mentioning this atrocity?

I just finished another playthrough of Uprising, and Dark Pit is more prominent than I remembered. He's a boss in one of the early chapters, he's a mid-boss in another, he shows up to assist you a few times, you play as him towards the end of the game, and he flies around with Pit during the end credits. He's also the Dark Team's playable angel in Light Versus Dark mode. I'm perfectly okay with him being a separate character in Smash Bros.

Yeah, that's why I've been supporting Dark Pit in the past but people apparently really hate the idea about it so they were very verbal about it so I decided to keep my support quiet. So I put third kid icarus representation in my wish list and Dark Pit in my prediction list.

I can usually tolerate most Smash Bros. stages, but there is one exception:

Where are you even supposed to fight? The lone leaf on the left is too small (and half the time too slippery to walk on), the ones at the top are too close to the blast line, and the leaves on the right have an annoying gap in the middle. This is why you don't lazily port stage designs from other games that have mechanics that don't work with Smash (see also: Mario Bros. and 75m).
Even forgot this exists :p

This is easily the worst stage ever in Smash Bros..

100% this.
Have yet to play any stage in smash worse than this.
I'd rather play on Stage creator that starts on a falling block than this.

____________

Why you guys hating on mmy new pork city.
Its the best big level better than Hyrule Temple.

He said adventure mode, not story mode. Adventure mode was the shit in Melee, so I hope it returns.

Would love that honestly. Ever now and again I had a rare urge to hunt down all the links in the maze before touching the triforce or get rid of all the enemies. Ahh memories

rip in peace Juansho. I feel partially responsible; my hype for underwear Shulk contributed to his untimely demise :/

As for bad stages, a lot of people here seem to disagree, but I'd put Brinstar Depths on the wall of shame. Between the rotation, the uneven terrain, and those things jutting out of the ground, I could never get anything done there. Cool music, though.

I feel people would be more welcoming to Dark Pit if he had the same design but wasn't called Dark Pit.

So you're saying he should be listed under "Pittoo" on the character select screen.

I'm actually pretty fine with all the clones since I'm assuming they didn't take a huge amount of effort away from other possible additions.

Also because it would make me a hypocrite if I was against Dark Pit when Lucina is one of my favorite newcomers.

I didn't think Hanenbow was that bad. I mean, it's not a good stage, but it's also not a giant monstrosity with seemingly randomly placed platforms and a random 1HKO stage hazard.

75m and the Mario Bros stage are up there with New Pork though.

Have they said what kind of single player stuff in the Wii U version? Smash run or whatever its called isn't in that version, right? Sorry, really haven't been following the game until recently.

And how many stages can we expect?

I'm sure I'm a minority here but I loved all the stages! They were varied and fun.
Yeah I admit they weren't always ideal to fight on, but I always thought Smash as a party game not a competitive one. Besides I felt that a stage is more than a window dressing, so I liked non-standard ones a lot better.
Probably the PictoChat stage was my favourite. Such good memories~

His profile said he was a law student in Chile. We might have saved him as he now has much more time studying for his law exams!

Poké Floats was one of our most played stage in SSBM. Just because it was so odd with all of the floating but not moving figures of Pokémon. I think I unlocked it with my sister ant we had such a blast, first time we played it :D
Likewise, out of all the stages from the games, i remember my first go on Poke Floats the best just for all the unexpected turns and characters throughout. Helps that we were all Pokefans too and could laugh at fodder Pokemon like Seel managing to cause so much mayhem!

What do you mean?
The fact that Dark Pit looks exactly like Pit even in clothes is my biggest issue.
But the name can make the difference

Imagine if Dark Samus was announced playable( with moves like her AT, completely different from Samus).

Even after the next gen Smash Bros is out, some people would still label her as a clone because of her name

I like Hanebow and keep it on random with 75M, I had to turn off New Pork City and Mario Bros and only play them once in a blue moon to remind myself how awful they are

Such positivity among this negative energy. I enjoy this post.

The only thing I dislike about Hanenbow is that you can't swim and that's it.

Agreed. Fun fact: Hanenbow actually used to be tournament legal in teams.

We don't know. They've only shown of single player stuff for the 3DS version.

I don't think the name makes any difference. People call Lucario a Mewtwo clone.

Well, it's completely same situation with Good Cole and Evil Cole. Meltdown was just amazing. I think I was one of few supporters for Good Cole and Evil Cole. I'm not sure tho.

Dark Pit is at least a different character if you actually played KI:U, Good/Evil Cole is still the biggest waste of space. Mario and Doc Mario is closer to Good/Evil Cole then Pit/Dark Pit

Dark Samus actually looks more than a character recolor though

Unlike Dark Pit

I've already come to terms that he's in.
As I said it's just the fact he looks exactly the same and not even his name.
He could be called samuel and i'd still think the design is the biggest issue.

This is regardless of his moveset.
