Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 14: Snake... had a hard life

It sounds believable, which doesn't help it's case, because sounding believable is something every fake leaker tries to do. The Reggie things sounds like something that would actually happen, but what was the point of including that other than to make it sound legit?

I mean if I was leaking stuff that went down at the press event I would probably include that little tidbit because it was funny (assuming it actually happened).

Holy fucking shit

I wouldn't. When all people care about online is information about the game, there's no point in including something as irrelevant as that. Especially when you can't really appreciate the humor unless you were there.

"Hey guess, this character is in the game. That character is in the game. This character is cut. These are some stages. This is a new mode. We're getting DLC. Also someone asked a question and they gave an answer and people laughed.... Yeah..."

Yeah, you're not the only one. Back in the day I actually found an old actual NES copy of Ice Climber. You can kinda see why it never exactly took off.

I bet you could make a pretty sweet co-op mountain-scaling reboot out of it now, though.

Yeah it would be a really ripe franchise for a Kid Icarus-esque reboot. Sadly it won't happen if they are cut :'(

Before Gematsu, did anyone's roster have the Chorus Kids or, hell, any RH-rep?

I doubt they were made from thin-air.

Most people, myself included, felt Marshall (in other words, one of the Chorus Kids promoted to game host in Fever) would have been the best Rhythm Heaven rep at the time. I don't think anyone paid the idea of all three of the Chorus Kids fighting together any mind - I mean, there were very few people that were hoping for Rhythm Heaven fighters at all, so...

I entertained the notion of Marshal, but I didn't really think this iteration would be the chance for a Rhythm Heaven character.

Yes like the good SmashGaffer above me here.

Any new news from PAX events? Or am I too early to ask? :p

Dem NDAs
I too would like to know what happened at the super secret meeting.

I actually love competitive stages also, Smashville had some interesting visual quirks for me.

Frigate Orpheon is good, I had a similiar relationship with Brinstar stages in Melee. I didn't know Metroid back then, so all of them was meh, but then I bought Prime just to see what's the big deal, and ever since I fell in love with the series. I wonder how significant this promotional value? How many of you tried out some games because you saw a representative in Smash?

Also remember buying Ice Climbers as a NES Classic for the above reasons. It sucked. :(

It was pretty long ago, but I'm pretty sure I bought the first Metroid Prime because it had that robot character from Smash, and it was like $5.
I tried Fire Emblem definitely because of Smash, but I didn't really think much of it until I had a Fire Emblem of my own, which was Awakening (which I think is an amazing game).
Lastly, I mentioned this before, but I bought the original Kid Icarus because of Smash. I found it to be too hard. I still want to finish it in the future, but I don't understand why I can finish a game like Super Ghouls and Ghosts, but not Kid Icarus.

I think upward scrolling stages are generally going to be tougher than traditional sidescrollers.

Man, I just can't fucking wait to see Duck Hunt in action. Such a great WTF choice.

so a PAX "leak" popped up on /v/

Not that I believe it, but I think the Hanafuda Card mention was pretty funny considering that it popped up on OricWindstar's poll the other day.
Haha! That's pretty funny. I'd love to see the rough drafts of what they thought a card could do.

So is it the general consensus that Kid Icarus is a pretty tough game? I'd like to believe that I can at least be mediocre at every genre...I don't want to accept that
I suck D:

Its learning curve is actually very weird. The game arguably becomes easier later in the game, and it's probably due to the fact that a lot of people have troubles with learning the damage output of enemies while also dealing with a rising death-pit.

I don't know... I either left out in another country or I left on a plane. Either option kinda sucked.

I just bought like twenty eshop games too... Goddamnit Nintendo

I lost my copy of Melee. I remembered afterwards that my Gamecube does not actually output sound anymore so I'm not that bothered but I still want to play some form of Smash in the lead up.

Hey guys. Just had family and friends get together at my house to play Project M.

Reminded me of how much fun smash can be with a lot of people! I am seriously anxious to play the 3DS/Wii U games now...

Am I the only one who can't stop thinking about the guys at GameXplain because they probably know everything already but they can't tell us?

SHOULD WE FORCE THEM?

SHOULD WE?

Hype overtook, send help.

If the online is halfway decent it's going to be a game changer; a true online Smash community would be a fucking dream come true.

Absolutely agree with you. Considering Bandai Namco's involvement, i'm a little hopeful in a decent online setting. I will really look forward to playing with SmashGAF!

I don't believe the pax leaks, but you should never trust anyone saying that they're someone else unless they have a tripcode.

I could go there right now, give myself that name and say I was lying about lying.

I would have a really hard time believing any leaks at this point unless it's a Nintendo slip up like the Ganondorf reveal.

If the Nintendo leaker is being prosecuted as people have said, then would-be leakers should, in theory, be more afraid of the repercussions of revealing that information. I mean, if the guy lost his job over it, I doubt anyone else is willing to step up to the plate and face the same fate two weeks before the game drops.

The embargo till the 13th is really stupid.

The japanese people will be leaking things up to a few days before that and if none of that happens then by the 13th I won't give a shit what the media has to say about the game because I'll already have it by then.

To be fair that's because the other leaker was an idiot who left information in his leak which could apparently trace back to him.

A text leak on 4chan can't lead to anyone specific because it could have been anyone in that room.

Once you get over the learning curve with the controls, it's fairly easy to beat. Just demands a lot of concentration. I started on 3.0 intensity at the beginning and pretty soon I cranked myself up to 7.0 for all the missions. Still can't really handle 9.0 intensity, but eh. Anyways, if you're having trouble, the game'll knock down the intensity/difficulty every time you die or you can just set it low yourself before the stage begins.

Not everyone
a) gets the Japanese game
b) follows 2ch and other Japanese forums to see what people who got it early have done

Also, they don't change their schedule based on what could be, or what leaks.
