imo, it holds up ok. Obviously go in with the understanding it's a mid-late life GCN title, and a cartoony racing game.
It has absolutely fantastic music though. Probably some of the best music ever in a racing game.

I know a lot of people think the Japanese release will make the wait longer, but I think the wait will be shorter. It'll give us a lot of time to get deep in the mechanics, watch streams, videos, etc.
I think the 3 weeks will move really quickly and be non stop Smash news.
I guess lucky for me I have Dota 2, which is getting a big update this week. And I'm shopping around for a house, so that's keeping me busy. So I don't think 3 weeks will be that back for me.

Sounds good! Luckily I'm sure I can rope my wife into anything Kirby-related. I think we could probably teach our cat to play it, too.

The regular racing modes are fine but City Trial is, imo, one of the best multiplayer modes in any game and makes the whole game one of my top go-to multiplayer titles. It's crazy fun.

Yeah, this is definitely true. Me and my friends we even able to sink tens of hours into Free Run mode for City Trial, and there's basically nothing to do there haha.

City Trial is why people are so hyped for Smash Run. If Kirby's Air Ride was just City Trial, it would be worth it, the other modes are just a bonus.
The mode is amazing. Just absolute perfection in multiplayer.
Although your results may vary if you lack others to play with. My best memories of Air Ride were with 3 players.
Flying around the city as Metaknight and having Metaknight duels was awesome, even if it wasn't even a proper mode lol

Meta Knight's mask should've been a "vehicle" in City Trial proper just because that would have been so perfect.
Not that the mode wasn't already perfect.

That Kirby-Luma exchange is one of my favorite moments from this game's entire buildup. Everything about it is perfect.
Having never played Air Ride, I'm excited to get into Smash Run and hope it lives up to it.

Rhythm Heaven is also depicted as a place filled with fluffy pink clouds and palm trees. And it also has an enemy in Smash Run.

Earthbound wouldn't be the only series without a stage anyway, if the stage and character rosters in the leak are both final.
I lost interest in it after chapter 8, became really convoluted (Even for FF standards) and I think the writer's trying to figure out how to end the FF on September 13th and may have gotten ahead of him/herself with a chapter a day basically

I'd love to preorder the physical version, but I'll want to play it as soon as possible (I live in Costa Rica so it'd take about a week), and I don't want to have to pay what it would cost to buy it from a store here (about $65). I even already ordered a 16GBs SD to be ready for SSB.
Has anyone compiled a list of good footage w/commentary from that Nintendo Play Tour thing? I'd love to see more videos like that one, and maybe get some discussion going. On that one you posted I loved one of the side-air-recovery plays. It's probably the best combo/move I've seen so far from gameplay footage.

Honestly, no; it defies explanation. It starts out as a story of rival cliques in a high school, then it becomes a time-traveling fight against monsters, then it becomes World War III, and the latest chapter has elements of a spy thriller.

I could at least kinda understand why there wouldn't be a Wii Fit stage, but all three Mother games have been on the GBA! No excuse if true.
Granted, I'd love to see a RH stage, but not at the expense of a Mother one.

I started off as the leader of a group of school bullies, but then got punched in the face. Later, someone tried to intimidate me into giving up my leadership, but I never backed down so I was erased from existence. But not really though, as I was last seen as fighting for the side of #TeamReal. So at least I've had a good arc going on!
Yeah, that shot by him was damn lucky. I really like Greninja's recovery, it has some great distance on it too.
I'd of got it from the eShop if I could have afforded it. Nothing would beat sitting here, hyping with you guys at 11:50pm to download it at midnight, but Amazon will charge me £26.86 compared to the £39.99 of the eShop, so I decided I can wait a few more hours for it.
