I'm convinced they announced the game waaay before they were ready because they wanted to drum up hype by association for their fucking chibi SD and dance spinoffs and various animus, and they knew it was never going to make a 2014/2015 release, which is why we have gotten literally nothing beyond a picture of some desks after all this time. P5 is a surefire delay waiting to happen.

On the bright side, if it isn't going to make 2015, then there's no way it'll be a PS3 only release by the time it does come out I'd bet.

I wouldn't bet on it. There's a new Tales game scheduled for 2015 that's PS3 only.
Honestly, even if they do they may do well in Japan, but by the time they come to the West it'll be far too late which will hurt chances of future localisations.

I was thinking about the new Blazblue update coming to PS4. They are rebalancing the game and adding some new characters.

If I'm remembering right, the only things announced outside of Sony's pre-TGS show last year were: The Idolmaster: One For All (PS3, during a Ban'namu stage event), Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax (during a stage event), Sakigake!! Otokojuku (PS3, during a stage event), and the New Gravity Rush game.

Well, why not? These games are selling and PQ and P4 Arena games are actually solid.
Would you rather they just release information for a game that's not ready? That's what SE would do. Remember that darn 7 minute trailer back in 2008??

Also keep in mind that they said Winter 2014. For P3 and P4, they released information just a few months before release. Who's to say they won't do it again?
