I know you're joking but one thing that made this series stand out from all the other fighting games was its diverse roster. Ignoring the clones, each character felt unique not only in appearance but also in fighting style. Now it has several similar looking "anime" characters and many sword users. It's starting to feel a bit too samey and generic.

Except for Lucina all of these "generic anime" characters play completely different from each other.

We still got in the game that added those "anime" characters fighters like Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Bowser Jr. and Duck Hunt Dog (who I can just assume is going to have a crazy playstyle). About as generic as dipping your fries on strawberry milkshake.

Figured out the first thing I'll do when I get the game: flip through alt costumes. I can see the more interesting ones being something you unlock though, but it seems eight is the standard number. I'm interested to see if they will give Shulk different color Monados. I want a Blunado.

So I watched the full Smash Run video from Gamexplain. I hadn't seen a full play through before and I think it looks great. Very much reminds me of City Trial from Kirby Air Ride. I must have put 30 hours into that mode alone as a kid. The map looks great and varied too.

So I watched the full Smash Run video from Gamexplain. I hadn't seen a full play through before and I think it looks great. Very much reminds me of City Trial from Kirby Air Ride. I must have put 30 hours into that mode alone as a kid. The map looks great and varied too.

I think Smash Run took the parts that worked in SSE minus bosses and cutscenes and improved upon that. I'm really liking it too, it's a cool way to unlock things while playing against friends.

I agree that it looks great. I think the city trial gameplay translates really well into smash; however I feel like it will be out-shined by regular smash matches and wont be played as often

Because its on the 3DS I see it staying decently active. For when people want a break of the typical match this should fill that space nicely.

And you can't just axe Sing. It's Jigglypuff's most iconic move (though custom moves may well have something completely different.)

This will sound crazy, but when I was a kid my brothers and I played City Trial until we unlocked all of the vehicles for Free Run, then made up a meta-game where we all started out with a Wagon Star, a small amount of "money", and a house somewhere on the map. Everybody then had to perform some sort of task as their occupation (destroying trees and coral, patrolling rails, trying to break somebody else's car), which would earn them more "money" to spend on a better house or vehicle. I have no clue how or why we came up with it, but it was fun!

I'm sure there is a fine psychiatric institution in your city that will be able to help you.

You just need to find something to keep you busy that night so you don't have time for Smash. Is there any way you can procrastinate on your work so you end up with a project you absolutely have to finish by the 13th? Then you'll have to pull an all-nighter, and by the time you finish working in the morning, the package will have arrived.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.
