Also Power Bombs from Metroid appear in Smash Run, but it doesn't look like they're proper items, which is dumb. Unless they're a customization for Samus.

I think I got spoiled on Twitter about this. I probably won't even remember the name by the time I play it though.
Yup, me neither. Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI are my two big blindspots. I've never beaten FFIV either, but I made it to the final dungeon at least in that one...
How was the DS remake, by the way? An adequate way to play? It's still pretty cheap online, which is good, but also suggests it might be something to avoid.

I'm interested in all of the newcomers so far, but the first three I'd try would probably be Little Mac, Robin and Palutena.
For veterans, it'd likely be Link and Samus for tradition, followed by Ike.
Also, I'm much less bothered by Shulk's name now that I can sort of see a possible etymology.

My most hyped vet. is Toon Link. He played incredibly well on the 3DS demo I played, and Little Mac is just a beast.
I want to see how athletic and fun WFT is too!
I should probably bump Palutena up to my No. 1 Most Want to Play, because I still don't understand the idea behind her character, gameplay-wise. I suspect she'll be slow and strong, hence her specials help out by fortifying her defenses, allowing her to make a quick escape, etc. Even her up-smash, which creates the massive pillar of light, could be seen as a way to control the battlefield while staying in place.

I have honestly not been more pumped for a game since... Well brawl... I'm a sucker for Nintendo and smash and truly believe that Melee (and project M) is the greatest multiplayer game ever conceived... So yeah. Very excited for smash 4.

Welcome to SmashGAF.
The direct mentioned that on the new 3DS that the analog was a cstick. Since that analog in theory should be nothing more than a built in CCP we shall see. We have a gaffer for sure who will confirm for us.
