This "waifu" thing is alright when joking around, but some seem to take it too far.

It's a turn-off for many people who have never played the series. I know it did not attract me to P4G last year, but when I got a Vita, because of the good word of mouth, I decided to give it a chance. I'm glad I did since it's now one of my all time favourites. There's some funny stuff but threads constantly get derailed because of it and I'd like for the funny stuff to stay in the OT so people don't strike Persona off as only being what some of you are making it to be.

I love P4G, and so does Y2Kev it seems as he has a P4G avatar, and I'm glad he feels like me.

Just nothing there to distinguish it from a dozen other animuz, it's not only the main character that's got nothing to him, look at the crowd, look at the backgrounds, not really any hint of anything that's recognizably Persona. P3 and P4 still had a bit of something to them, everything here's just very generimu but I'm sure someone's spinning this is as a deliberate choice tied to the theme of listless crowds in society or something haha

Yu from P4 doesn't have facial hair. Neither did Minato in P3.

The Persona series has only been on Playstation aside from the 2 fighting games on 360 and a dancing game on 3DS. So this being a mainline JRPG the chances of this coming out on the XB1 which hasn't even been released in Japan or Wii U is like 1%.

This just made me think of how I wish the MC in this game was american or something not Japanese. The MC is often some kind of transfer student, and it'd be cool if they used a transfer student who was from further away, but still have it set in Japan. Just as a way of acknowledging the large and growing fan base in the west for this series.

I think they realized that and that's why they relied on the scene direction being so evocative of the intro scenes from P3/4(with the whole train scene spliced with cutaways to random pedastrians doing shit )

I definitely agree with you. The only part that seemed Persona-ish to me design-wise was the uniform of the MC.

While I agree with you, I still say this MC has the least physical appeal. Yu is handsome, looks like he has confidence. P3 character looks moody as shit, but has that cool emo look. New guy just seems kind of uh I dunno, pretty + dorky? I guess we'll see how his personality is, because that is really everything. But just on the design itself...(that turtleneck + hair style isn't doing him any favors).
