man i played those KH games already. only a totally rad NEW game could make me regret my selling my PS3

I don't know what To:Z is :P

(wait that Tales of Zesteria game maybe? I sorta want to play that I guess...)

I wish he had Kojima's glasses. Those huge grandma rims are sooooo weird.

Kojima's glasses will be added in Persona 5: Red for PlayStation Vita!

when he said a certain ps3 title was also coming to ps4 I was like yoooooo and then I saw the Atlus logo and was like yoooooooooooooooo

:lol

Right?! I was like... "Atlus? No, they aren't going to show Persona 5 here, at the worst conference in the history of press conference-- OH, SHIT. Persona 5! One of the hardest-hitting Japanese role-playing games in da league!"

For me for soundtracks it goes 4 > 2 IS >3 > 1

3 has a few great tunes but as a whole I don't think it's as good as P4.

P4 has a ton of great songs (especially in Golden) and everything fits so well.

P2 IS has Maya's Theme which might be my favorite in the whole series.

P1 has some good tunes as well (IMO of course), but it really doesn't fit the game.

I'm not far enough into EP to judge yet.

Not that into Persona games. Is this announcement good news for PS4 owners?
It means I'm very quickly running out excuses to not buy a PS4. Sony wouldn't have asked for a PS4 version (and delay as a result) unless they knew it would sell systems to RPG fans and Japan in particular. Sort of a joke question I know, but still a smart business play.
gonna "very easy" the shit outta this game!
As someone who occasionally turns into one of those insanely bitchy JRPG "purists" I generally scoff at people who take this lame route but in the past few years my opinions have changed a bit. Some-- Rather, a very few-- games are so good and have so much story to push and so much total content worth enjoying that a run on easy doesn't detract from the experience. Anything in the 25-30+ hour range of actual content is a ton of game for $60 and a not-insignificant time investment for people.

Then there are games that are the opposite; Tales series in particular. Without playing around with the more flashy combat stuff, watching/listening to the cast interact and watching the skits the game would be an absolute bore to just play through for the sake of playing through. It's only really fun if you put all parts together.

Anyway, no reason not to think P5 won't have the degree of story/depth that the others have had. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous though.

Heh. Well, the series sure has come a long way since the original P3 release when more ears went up. Atlus are the master of extending content and milking the shit out of it while somehow not angering fans. They turned 2 games into a decade of content.

Cannot wait to see the game in engine. I remember back in 2008 when I was eagerly looking forward to the sequel to Persona 3, I think the first time I saw anything was like a clip in Japanese on gametrailers, where Chie was yelling at Yosuke in their classroom...I guess it was the whole "trial of the dragon dvd" bit.

I couldn't know at the time how much I would go on to love everything about the game...It's world, music, characters... even the way that blue butterfly savepoint glows against the corner of the classroom has a special place in my heart.

So you want more realism or a more serious tone for the game where you can summon daemons, gods, where murder occurs threw out the game, and where the main cast has to mentally deal with all that plus make sometimes make impossible choices all the while dealing with their personal crap?

How would you want the main cast to unwind and the player have in game moments where he/she can still play while processing everything that happened in game? The main cast goes out drinking or partying?
Let's put it this way; the newer Persona games are set in an idealized version of Japanese high school life where students have a huge amount of freedom to pursue various activities on top of saving the world, while their real-life counterparts spend a lot more time studying and/or going to cram school, among other things. If high school life can be stretched to fit the series' mold, then I'm sure the same could be done with university or a workplace setting.

So then play any number of the other games in the Megaten universe. I'm not sure why people are so adamant on changing Persona. Shit, if you have a PS3 you can even get Nocturne, the DDS games, and the Raidou Kuzunoha games off PSN for dirt cheap.
Because none of the other games you mentioned have Persona's style of storytelling and light sim elements.

holy shit it's on PS4 now thank God. I was so finished with my PS3 ages ago (because I sold it)

(because why still have it)

(seriously)

Because I don't have the money to buy a PS4. I'm broke.

BROKE!

Awww yis!!! I missed the news until now. Super excited it's coming to PS4. What if the footage in the teaser (and what I presume to be the opening cutscene of the game) actually ended up being in-game footage lol
I would cry sweet, sweet tears ;~;

I want it for the Vita to play in bed but a PS4 version with Remote Play is close enough :)
Hope we don't have to wait so long for the synchronization.

Great news for me and basically the main reason to sell my ps3 and get a ps4. Will do that on christmas.

Would have been a little bit odd only realeasing it for the ps3.

Yasogami High was VERY much not idealized. The building was run-down, the faculty a pack of nutcases, the student body somewhat apathetic about studies and prone to gossip.

Hell, I figure Charlie 'n crew spent much of their "not Shadowbustin'" time studying. It just flew by for sheer brevity's sake.

1 and 2 weren't randomly generated.

Not that they were any better for it, fuck EP's last dungeon.

If P5 got Dungeon-Ass Dungeons that had puzzles, damage floors, teleporters, phasing, etc, you'd have people whine. So that's two reasons to want Dungeon-Ass Dungeons for the second time in the franchise's history. :D

I'd be down for Dungeon-Ass Dungeons. I played Lufia when I was eight and figured out the invisible bridge. You can't scare me.

I just realized ... there never was a PS3 Persona game. I the other games I own are PS1, PS2 or Vita.

So, does this mean there will be a significant graphical upgrade?
