If any AT needs to be promoted through DLC to being a character it's Dark Samus. That crap just isn't fair.

To answer that question, since I actually thought about it before. I basically made it a rule to where only if there is two available options for a female alt, then I'll allow them to be in the tournament. :x

I think I have a better idea: Team Mode. If my understanding is correct, both players can use the same costume and willl be surrounded by a differently colored aura. Wendy saved.

Uh we've known about room link for awhile. The guy smiling on the right with his DS on his stomach is hiding something though.

It just doesn't feel right to have named characters be replaced by other characters, even if they do act essentially the same.
The same goes for alternate costumes - I feel that alternate costumes should still stay within character. As much as I love Louie, I wouldn't want to see any non-Olimar alternate colors for Olimar.
Your DLC list was missing Doshin the Giant, so it obviously isn't "the best possible."

Conductor Link is named :v he's Link. It becomes a question of, "why does Isabelle need to stay an AT?" The game is still the same, you just have one more really popular character as a playable one.

Yeah, Toon Link's been known about since October '13, actually. He was even playable in the 3DS Demo at Smash Fest in June (But only the 3DS. Same with Luigi and Yoshi).

And stomach guy seems suspicious, but that CSS shows that their build (probably) doesn't include newcomers, so what is he hiding?

Why not just replace the AT with one that makes just as much sense? Turning off the AT only when the character is in play just seems weird.

We already know Ridley, Isabelle, and Tingle are in the game. Is there any reason why DLC would make them playable? Don't give me the Alfonzo excuse - you can't just summon "Isabelle" as an Assist only to have some other Animal Crossing character show up in her place.

I personally thought it would be cool to have a condition for an unlock be to have you randomly select their assist trophy. Unlocking that character would disable that assist trophy. Noone would know it was a playable character (waluigi? lol) until this happened. Expectations would be destroyed, fans would be trolled, surprises would be had. It would be a good day.
