Different characters have some lines that are PERFECT, so a combination of all of them w/ all of the perfect lines would be great. Like melia's "Yes, I feel it too, Shulk" and reyn's "What a bunch of jokers," riki's "Shulk see vision? Riki no like that future" and "Monster! AHHHHHHHHH" after bowser screams. Perfect.

After he says 'now it's shulk time' and melia says 'was that the handywork of reyn?' Too good.

Anyone really letting themselves believe the Wii U game has been "gimped" by the 3DS version or vice versa is just precious (not in the good way) and is just looking to rain on people's parade. Best to ignore those people. The 3DS version is great and totally stands on its own as a portable Smash experience.

I'm excited for both the 3DS and Wii U versions. A portable smash game will be awesome for me here at school, and the Wii U version will be a great party game!

That said, there is no doubt in my mind that if one of the versions didn't exist, the other one would benefit content-wise. It's not hard to imagine that Namco's resources are split between these two versions. Sorry if that isn't what you want to hear, but it's the probable truth.

Is anyone else kind of disappointed we won't get a twelfth character trailer? We had three at E3 2013, then three in the months that followed, then three at E3 2014, but only two afterwards?
There's not really much time for another one though, since we're less than two weeks from Japanese release and the last trailer was just a few days ago.

I think we could still get one more to build up hype. It's also possible if all of the trailers on disc for the Wii U version that we'll see an extra trailer on there. Oh! We could also get DLC newcomer trailers.

I know it might sound like I'm raining on people's parades, but I'm not. I fully acknowledge the 3DS version is awesome, I played it. I'm very very thankful it's coming out. It'll be neat to be able to play smash away from home without having to lug around my console.

I'm just saying that for me, personally, if the 3DS version never existed, i'd be fine, just like I've been fine since 1999.

Like I said before, I'm pretty sure their budget is bigger than ever and totally accommodates for both versions of the game. Wait, shit, has Adventure Mode/Classic Mode not yet been confirmed for 3DS? What are the confirmed single player options besides Vs. CPUs, Smash Run vs. CPUs, and All-Star Mode? I don't have a whole lot of people to play this with in person, and a lot of my time in previous Smash games was dedicated to single player stuff. I'm gonna be real bummed if single player content is skimpy this time.

Buy a new one. You're spending to play Smash. What else would be a better use of that money? Literally nothing. Food, gas, bills? Nah, Smash all day baby.

You can send it to Ninty for repairs (very likely at cost, depending on how long you've had it). Or you can look around for a cheaper used one; you might be able to come out cheaper that way than with the repair option.

If you're able to afford it reasonably, use it as an excuse to get a nice new 3DS, maybe upgrade to XL and/or get one of the cool special editions.

Melee would ramp up to 2 and then eventually 3 opponents. Brawl would cap out to two at a time, because it supported co-op.
